I didn't book here because it didn't look interesting to me. So I am wondering, why is everybody so crazy about booking at a restaurant that serves a Thanksgiving dinner type meal? What's the hype? I feel like I am missing something here...Fill me in please!!

our first trip, i booked a ltt dinner cause dgf loves thanksgiving foods, for the characters, and for all the general hype i had heard about it. we were very disappointed, and i wouldnt (and havent) book it again...i think it was a nice experience for the once, but other than that...eh...

It's a great sit down family meal. They serve you. You can relax and enjoy. The stuffing is fabulous!!

We eat here on MVMCP night, we go for dinner which reminds us of a Christmas dinner then we go to the party to celebrate Christmas at Disney. Yummy!!!

It seems as if you're having a home-cooked meal (think Sunday dinner), which is a welcome break from typical restaurant food. Not that Disney food is typical, not at all. I guess I have to say we just really enjoy the food, the atmosphere and the characters.

This is one of our MUSTS each trip. From the outside it doesnt look like much... the food is family style... we love the food there, the characters and the atmosphere. Gotta try it once!

We've never been there, but I'll tell you that from our point of view, it's always been considered just because it's a table service restaurant in the MK and we wouldn't have to leave the park. We've done Tony's, CRT, and CP, but for some reason we've always talked ourselves out of LTT and instead to a restaurant such as O'hana or CM. But I think a lot of it is for convenience.

We've been here a couple of times and liked it a lot. The characters have unique costumes too if you're looking for that kind of thing. My picky eaters even like the place. Sometimes the wait, even w/ an ADR, goes over a bit. Crystal Palace is the worst for it imo. The food is good but if you don't like that kind of thing....skip it. Have a fun trip!

We love LTT for dinner. Like the other posters have already said, it is just good, simple, American foods. They are very tasty and comforting. The atmosphere is great and this is some of the best character interaction at MK.

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in Australia but it's similar to what we would have at Xmas and seeing we were going right before MVMCP it seemed to fit right in.
We loved the atmosphere & characters and I've got a photo of Pluto dropped on one knee proposing to me!!What could be better than that!

I would say that it is my second favorite character meal for dinner...second to Chef Mickey's. We don't like CP for dinner and my boys would not do CRT either. I love the dessert!!! I love that we can stay inside MK for dinner.
One thing to remember - no Mickey...LTT is Minnie's Restuarant.

Our last trip we wanted to schedule one character meal. It's just me and DH so we weren't into the princesses (CRT) or pooh (CP). Our favorite characters are Minnie and Goofy and in checking on allears, I found they are both there for the character dinner at LTT so I booked it.

We had eaten at Spoodles the night we arrived (it was good) and California Grill the next night (our wedding night). We realized that our palates are not refined enough for the likes of CG! We really didn't like it!

So, we weren't really expecting much at LTT...and we were very pleasantly surprised! We absolutely LOVED it!!

The character interaction was fabulous (got to see all of the characters at least twice). The food was really good (to us)...just normal, comfort food.

After we left, DH said that we have to go back there every time we are in WDW.

The dinner part of it, didn't appeal to us either. That is why we went for lunch. And it was certainly enjoyable. Good fresh tasty food! Nice lunch choices.

The food pics always look dry to me. I love turkey and thanksgiving food but it just didn't look that great.

Although I must say I had stuffing at Chef Mickey's dinner and I assume it was probably Stouffers and it was great!

We like it purely for the atmosphere. It has a great atmosphere for July 4th, Halloween, Thanksgiving, & Christmas. It's a perfect pre-MNSSHP & MVMCP location. The characters dress for the occasion. If we're there at any other time, we dine elsewhere.

If nobody has said it yet, someone is bound to say, "I don't know why, but it reminds me of a TV dinner." Someone has said that on every LTT thread for years. They say it because Stouffers provides the mac n cheese, hence the "frozen dinner" thing. As if they were plucking feathers off the chicken over at the Crystal Palace.

They all serve frozen food. It isn't like a SYSCO truck isn't pulling up somewhere else on Disney property while you're eating in LTT. The only difference is that at LTT they advertise that the frozen food is coming from a very popular company instead of one that nobody has heard of.

LTT is a charming restaurant that is a welcome respite from the heat, humidity and hustle-bustle going on in the Magic Kingdom. The characters spend more time with people there than most places.

I think the food is great in general. The last couple years, though, the meat is dry from time to time and that kind of ruins a meal. I try to ignore that, but it is kinda hard.

Still and all, I really like the LTT.

Try it for lunch. While there are no characters at lunch time, they have a good menu including an excellent crab cake on the appetizer menu. Also each room is themed to an historic American: the Jefferson room, the Washington room, etc so that is pretty cool.

On a side note one time we were the first ones there (we had 11:30 am reservations) and we were chosen to ring the bell for the opening ceremony. Got a nice certificate too. A neat little magical moment.

I am another fan of the lunch. It is my favorite meal in Disney World. Their crab cakes are so good. I am from the coast and eat crab cakes all the time. They are yummy. The desert menu is great as well. If you want a sit down lunch, I would definately give it a try.
