This will be my 19th trip to WDW and I have never eaten at either of these. I currently have an ADR for LTT, but after looking at the menu (dinner, not lunch), I just don't think my family will like this. But I have also seen many negative reviews of Tony's. My DS loves Lady and the Tramp - is this theme very prevalent or very subtle? I am so confused! Thanks in advance!

The only thing that made LTT a good dinner option was the great character interaction. Since they eliminated the characters, there's nothing special or outstanding about LTT for dinner. Lunch at LTT is very good, though.

I've only eaten at Tony's once. I wasn't overly impressed but it wasn't bad.

We ate at Tonys last month for dinner and in Oct for lunch and we really enjoyed both meals alot! DH really loved the calamari so we are going to go back there for dinner again in June

I thought I read on the boards that the characters were back at LTT?

I like lunch at LTT, but not dinner - I'd probably go with dinner at Tony's instead.

I also have never been to LTT so I did make an ADR for upcoming trip. But then I started thinking about Tony's and we really did enjoy it last time so I made the switch! From the pics and menu of LTT, it does seem you will get your fill there. I haven't really read much negative on LTT other than people miss the characters. I too was worried about negative reviews of Tony's but I am glad we decided to see for ourselves. My son also loved the calamari and I had the chic parm/spaghetti. I think Dh had the strip steak. I will say we were not impressed with the desserts but the meal was satisfying.

I love Tony's. They have the best butternut squash soup (and they gave me the recipe)!

The characters were not back to LTT as of last week, but we enjoy the food.

We never went to LTT for the characters, we always went for the food. It's delicious! It's a must every trip. We go for a late lunch though. around 2:30 or 3:00 ( or 3:30 or 4:00 :rotfl:)

Same here. We never enjoyed the food at LTT, but would go just for the characters. Now without the characters we'd go for lunch, since lunch is much better. I believe there are some rumors that the character might be returning, but so far I think it might just be a rumor. I don't see how they could stay in business without the characters (unless the food improves greatly).

The first time I went to Tony's several years ago, I did not like anything I got, but it was just what I ordered as my mom was raving about hers. I snitched a few bites and had to agree hers was MUCH better than mine. I've eaten dinner three times since then and the food has been good every time. Ask to sit out in the enclosed glass room. You can ask to sit inside, inside the glass room, or outside on the porch.

Tony's was the worst restaurant experience I've had at disney. We got seated outside, and it was so hot, and there were flies EVERYWHERE. If you go, I suggest eating inside. I can't say anything about the food because I was too busy swatting off the flies to eat :p I think LTT is good though. I love the atmosphere and the character's costumes. And the food is decent.

LTT for dinner with or without characters to Tonys,I love WDW dining for the most part but Tonys is a waste of space. With Tonys location you would think Disney would put one of there best dining expereience here, no this place is just plain bad, sorry.:goodvibes Danny

Tony's! Especially since LTT has discontinued the characters. The food at LTT is ok but I would not go there just for the food. The character interaction there was excellent what a shame.

We just loved Tony's when we were there in 2007. I asked my kids which resturant would they like to go back to each got one choice and my 12 year old said Tony's. My little one 4 years old said breakfast at the Castle (she's a princess fanatic!) We had a very good meal and our waiter was fantastic. My husband gave him extra for his tip because he was so good. We are going back again in June.

LTT dinners with the characters were wonderful, but we also enjoyed the food. We will go back even without characters. Our November meal at Tony's was so bad that I don't plan on returning.

I know one more post only makes it more confusing for you...but here goes;)

Tonys has been hit or miss for us. Service has been sub par, food, on one occasion was outstanding. Got the same thing next time, it was just OK.

LTT, food for us is the draw. Characters were just a bonus. I have heard all the trash talked about Stoufers furnishing the food. They sponsor, maybe provide the stuffing, but thats all. If Stoufers tasted that good from the grocery store, we would be buying it often and saving ourselves a lot of hassle of preparing meals at home.

I say try them both, if possible. But if only one works this time, LTT would be my choice.

I totally disagree with the previous poster. So I guess you'll be confused even more. The dinner at LTT is the one we have found to be very inconsistent. The characters made us deal with it but without them forget it. The the food is not worth price you pay. Frozen mac and cheese? Umm no thank you! The desert was good. We have never been there for lunch.

Tony's has always been a great meal for us. Time after time. Never disappointed us.

It is a great location and we alway enjoy our meals there. But the best is for you to try it yourself and see.

Have a great trip.

We have eaten at Tony's only once, but our entire party agreed it was one of our best meals ever.
So there you go. Your mileage may vary........
