Is it possible to order one all-you-can-eat special and one a la carte entrée for lunch and pay OOP for the a la carte order? I don't eat red meat or poultry but my mom really wants to eat at this restaurant (and I want the Ooey Gooey Toffee cake) and I thought about ordering a fish and chips from the a la carte menu while she eats the Patriot’s Platter. Will they frown upon us sharing the dessert?

I doubt anyone would frown on a shared dessert and I see no problem with paying for one meal OOP and the other on a dining plan.

If they charged you for an extra dessert, would it be a problem? If it would bother you to be charged, I wouldn't share the dessert, as it is part of the AYCE meal. You probably won't be charged for sharing the dessert, but that doesn't mean that you aren't breaking rules.

The dessert is a part of the AYCTE meal, correct? If so, you would not be able to share it and would have to order your own, just like with the rest of the meal.

you can order one aycte and use DDP to pay and pay OOP for fish and chips, no problem. but as others have said, you can't share dessert from the AYCTE.

I’ll let you in on a secret. There are no food police except on these boards. Enjoy the dessert with your mom. You’ll be doing nothing wrong.

I'll let you in on a secret, the incredibly rude wait person we had at LTT would probably have slapped the fork out of the sharer's hand and then publicly announced "CHEATER"

(Of course her tip reflected her charming manner, but... LOL!)
