I see that LTT has menu items for lunch and family style for dinner. Which is best??

DH & I love their lunch and always make a point to go when we do park trips.
We never went for dinner - the menu items do not appeal to me in a restaurant setting.

The Thanksgiving-style family meals are quite delicious. We have only been there for dinner and it has never disappointed. My only wish is that the characters would come back with their colonial style outfits.

I've done both - and liked both.

I prefer lunch. Lunch has always been served piping hot, and I can pick what I feel like at the time. The menu variety works for the folks I typically travel with and we feel like "it's fair pricing" for what you get in comparison to other Disney choices.

Dinner - I can't eat as much as they serve you at once, so by the time I am ready to try something that didn't make it on my plate the first time or I want seconds on, it's cold. (Hence one reason I don't love O'hana, either.) One person I travel with LOVES this meal - favorite foods, all-you-can-eat, no decisions about what to order. The food is fine - but it's prepped for the masses, seasoned for the masses, and just doesn't wow me. I feel like the lunch choices are more interesting, taste better (and prepped for slightly fewer people since there are more choices).

To summarize:

If you want your party to have choices - lunch.
If you want the all-you-can-eat and your party likes the menu - dinner.

I've done both and liked both. :)

I LOVE their lunch. Their Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake is my favorite dessert anywhere. I usually have the entree salad (Declaration?)

We have done both and prefer lunch over dinner. The last time we had dinner there was when they had the characters there. The Colony Salad and Ooey Gooey Toffy Cake is what keeps me coming back :cloud9:

We enjoy lunch at LTT. Once upon a time, LTT offered a decent character dinner, but now that the character dining is gone (especially miss the themed costumes for Halloween), we will stick to the relaxing and tasty lunch.

We have only tried dinner, but didn't like it. The beef was tough, and the food was a bit cold. My DH got seconds, but had to ask the waitress for something hot. Not the best service we had either. I have heard good things about lunch.

I have tried lunch twice and really enjoyed it both time but this year we ate dinner instead and it was very good as well. For my group, dinner works best... we enjoy the menu and the all you can eat aspect is nice. Sadly ooey gooey toffee cake is only available at lunch but the apple craisin cake for dinner was actually a nice surprise.
