I just looked at the menu for LTT dinner buffet and it sounds terrific. However, it lists the same menu for the kids buffet, ages 9 and under. I thought that the kids buffet was different and had more kid friendly items, such a chicken nuggets, fries, etc. If anyone knows of a difference or has been recently, please let me know.

Thanks!:)

LTT is not a buffet it is a meal that is served to you family style. From Allears

DECLARATION SALAD - Tossed Mixed Greens, served with our special Tavern Strawberry Vinaigrette Dressing

PATRIOT'S PLATTER - A generous serving of roasted turkey breast, carved beef, and smoked pork loin, with mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, herb bread stuffing, and Stouffer's Macaroni and Cheese.

The food is good we love the atmosphere there.

Thanks for clearing that up. On the DDP brochure, it does not list LTT as a character dinner, but I thought that it was. Do you know? :confused3

I think LLT Lunch is characater but dinner is just regular buffet. Same thing with Hollywood & Vine at DS - Breakfast and Lunch character but dinner is just buffet. Not sure which other restaurants offer a little of both.

At LTT lunch is not a character meal, but dinner is, with characters in revolutionary war garb. It is not a buffet but a family-style service of thanksgiving type dinner. This is the ADR I'm very much looking forward to in July!

Thanks everyone for the info. :thumbsup2 But I am still wondering, do they not have a other items for the kids or do they just eat what we eat?

BEST dinner we had on our trip in February....and the most relaxing meal. The food was yummy and the character interaction was great. We were seated in smaller "room" with about 6 tables and the characters came through a lot. It was fun to watch them at other tables before they came to ours. We saw Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale.

Oh sorry, missed this part of your question.....our DD4 at the time ate what we ate. You aren't given a menu?? We had turkey, ham, roast beef, rolls, mashed potatoes, green bean, mac-n-cheese, stuffing & apple pie. My DD is a GREAT eater, not picky at all, so she was good with the food. But, if your child is picky, it can't hurt to ask if there are other options??

Thanks! DD 8 and DS 6 are both picky eaters. Since we are going as a GG, I will have to give this info to the rest of our family who will be bringing 3 kids all under the age of 6! I know that one of them is really picky. My two picky eaters will eat the mac-n-cheese and ham - especially the ham!

We ate dinner here in Feb and it was really good!

nothing fancy... no mystery sauce dishes... just good old fashion american food! The green beans were soooo yummy!

My kids are all picky eaters and they enjoyed the food. The characters were nice too. The place is a bit dark ... but on a hot day it might feel good to get out of the sun!

I have pics of it in my trip report... page 1 post 6
There is pics of us chowing down and of the characters

Great character interaction here. Some of the characters came by us two and three times. (Minnie even sat with me while DS and DH were in the bathroom). My 7 y.o. LOVED the food.

This restaurant serves pretty standard, everyday, american dinner food. Home cooked style. There is no special kids menu because they believe that at home if you made turkey, ham, masked potaoets, mcn-n-cheese, gravy and rolls your kids would be eating that. They bring it out on a big serving platter and in bowls, just for your table...just like at home at thanksgiving, but the meat is already cut (no turkey carving required.)

The dessert is the only thing I could have any issue with...apple or cherry cobbler (not a choice, but it changes sometimes) with ice cream. Only 2 of my 6 eat cobbler...so the rest just had the ice cream part. No big deal.

I truly believe that all bet the worst picky child in the world will eat here hapily. It is one of the places my kids love for just that reason: all the food looks like home and it is "plain" (no strange flavorings or sauces.)

(Let's please not talk about the time my mother thought the kids would like German food for Thanksgiving dinner....she will NEVER live that one down..it has been 5 years and my son still tells her every year that he DOES NOT want german buffet for T-day. He was 8 at the time...some things are memorable I guess.)

You can get hot dogs for the kids at the LTT dinner. We do it every time for my DD and we have eaten there probably 25 times. She eats a hot dog and mac and cheese. They don't list it but all you have to do is ask. The only things my child will eat on the regular menu is mac and cheese and ice cream. LOL! You will still be charged full price but it is worth it when you have picky kids!

You're probably not finding it listed as a character meal because the brochure lists it as "Goofy's Liberate Your Appetite" not Liberty Tree Tavern.

We love it, BTW and from what I remember, the kids ate what the adults ate.

We really enjoyed this meal. Next time, though, we're gonna ask for nothin' but turkey (as far as entrees). That was the best!

It may help for you to know that Stouffers sponsors the LTT character dinner (this is even stated on the LTT sign in front of the restaurant) and from what I've noticed, the food...mac/cheese, turkey/dressing, etc. are very similar to what you can buy and bake from the freezer section at your local grocer. You may consider buying some of these meals to introduce your children to the food beforehand. The food is very warm, traditional and thanksgiving-like...I love it!! :thumbsup2
