I know I have seen the answer here before but I can't seem to find it. Did they go back to hot dogs and hamburgers or is it still tofu, etc? I would like to try it but don't want to go for the character meal. My kids are 10, 10, and 12 and don't eat enough to justify the cost of the character meal.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the link but I had already seen it. I thought I had read that they had changed the menu again from when they had the tofu stuff that is listed on AllEars. I was hoping someone had eaten there in the last month or so.

I too, am interested in this. I would like to call today & complete ADRs for our May trip...we are considering LTT but DS7 is very picky.

Okay, I decided to just call WDW dining. She read me the menu. They are back to mac and cheese, hot dogs, chicken strips and cheese burgers.

Hey, if you go to the character dinner, it's family style right? And the kids just eat the same as everybody else, right?

Oh NO! We made reservations because of the new menu! I guess we can just cancel. We can get the mac and cheese any where.
Thanks for letting us know.

I'm another person who changed reservations because of the new menu (my son wouldn't eat anything on the old menu). Can anyone here that has been to the restaurant recently verify that they have gone back to the old menu? I've heard that the folks on the phone occasionally have old info.

Thanks!

we just ate there two weeks ago and my DD4 had this wonderful turkey. She loved it!

Good point. I think I will keep our ADR and then go check the menu. If it is back to the old stuff, we will cancel that day (unless someone can tell us for sure before our trip that the menu has changed). The CM on the phone may have had the old menu all along, so it is hard to tell unless someone actually goes there to check on the menu.

allearsnet had someone check out LTT for me. They have updated their childrens menu. Here it is. One thing, the WDW DIning operator told me cheeseburgers were there but it is not listed on the new menu. Here it is...

Menu Date: February 2006

For Guests 9 and under

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Minnie's Fruit Plate with Yogurt Dip $3.99

Entrees
All Served with Blueberry Muffin, Carrot Chips and a Beverage

Mickey's Macaroni and Cheese - Stourffer's Mac and Cheese $4.99

Pluto's Pilgrim Feast - turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy $5.99

Donald's Fresh From the Harbour - salmon served with mashed potatoes $5.99

Chip N Dale's Corn Dog Nuggets $4.99

Goofy's Poundcake Dippers
Served with Whipped Cream and Chocolate Dip $3.99

My two ds and I ate there yesterday and that was the EXACT menu. They had the corndog nuggets. They ate all of them, the carrots were yucky and I took the muffins with us. They were mediocre at best.

Thanks for letting us know. Now I can cancel our reservation. I guess that will one less thing to have to worry about (getting to the restaurant on time).

Darn, that's so sad to see that they switched to some unhealthy choices again! We don't have kids, but I was so pleased to see Disney giving healthy and wholesome choices for kids. At least there's still salmon, but there's enough mac and cheese and hotdogs around Disney already.

I thought it sounded like a good compromise. There aren't any fries. Turkey, Salmon, Fruit plate with yogurt. Better than just cheeseburgers and fries but not to the extreme of tofu and vegetarian quesadillas. I guess it just depends.

I'm bummed too. I don't think there is any way my kid is going to eat mac n cheese (she won't eat it at home), and she's never had either corndogs (!! What kind of weird carnie food is that for a restaurant with a colonial theme?) or salmon. The turkey might be a possibility, though she's not a huge fan. Probably I'll just get one or two of the yogurt and fruit plates they are calling an appetizer, as that seems closest to the "Dip It!" they had on the prior menu. She would have loved that.

I agree that the tofu might have been pushing it, but kids do like yogurt. I'm not talking plain yogurt; I'm talking the flavored, sweetened stuff. Let's put it this way: that is what my 3-year-old had for lunch, and that is also what she is having for dinner. (Her choice. I offered spaghetti and meat sauce or Lloyd's shredded bbq chicken.)

I'm reviving this thread because I'm interested in this answer too. I'm considering LTT for dinner but am wondering is the kid's menu only good for lunch, with the kids eating the family style food for dinner? Anyone know? :confused3 TIA! :sunny:

Just an FYI--when we were at LTT for lunch in early March I asked our server about the healthy menu options that I had heard about but wasn't seeing on the kids' menu. He told us that the healthy menu had been a test menu that didn't go over well and thus, they reverted back to the old kids' menu.

For what it's worth, my dd8 had the corn dog nuggets which she loved, served with carrot chips and a blueberry muffin. The muffins were yummy and huge! My dd4 had the mac n cheese, which is the same mac n cheese that's served at the character dinner. It came with the same carrots and BB muffin that her older sister had. Neither of them complained about anything.

Last December the kid's meal was the same food that is served family style to everyone. It was very good. The green beans were wonderful. We enjoyed everything.

we ate their last yr and my son had a grilled cheese which wasnt on the menu. Alot of places have peanutbutter and jelly or grilled cheese even though its not posted on menus. thats all my son eats and he did fine on it last yr down there..
