Has anyone had dinner here before the MNSSHP. Can you tell me about it, what they served, were there characters there or what? We are going Halloween night and just do not know what to expect for dinner.

Counting down the single digit days before leaving Friday am.

Here's my review.
Liberty Tree Tavern After reading reviews on the Dis, this pretty much met my expectations. The rolls were good, but not warm. The salad was very good - loved the dressing. I liked the beef, ham (which had I think a mustardy taste to it), the stuffing w/gravy on top. DH liked the turkey (he likes his dry). The green beans were tolerable. We were served mashed sweet potatoes which was a huge hit with DD#2, but she said mine were better because I put marshmallows on top (score 1 for mom!). The cherry cobbler was good and we left satisfied. BTW, this was during MNSSHP.

It was a good dinner. The waitress will bring out more of anything you want. The characters we saw were Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale.

We were there on the 13th. Service was awesome. Characters (Chip, Dale, Pluto, Goofy, and Minnie) were in costume as were the staff.
Food was decent. The mashed potatoes, turkey, and flank steak were very good. Loved the cherry cobbler and I'm not much of a cherry fan either.

We ate there on 10/20. Food was very tasty and character interaction was good. Our server was so-so. Nothing special but he was efficient. I loved the CM's costumes.

WE did LTT Oct 11th, we had 5:35 ressies. It was busy, but the wait wasn't too long. We had Chip & Dale, Goofy, Pluto, & Minnie. All were in costumes. Goofy's was the best, a colonial patriot, very cute :rotfl2:
The food was ok, but we weren't expecting fine cuisine @ a character meal. The character interaction was very good. Hope you enjoy  We had a blast!!

We were also there 10/11 at 5:30 and really enjoyed it. I had read that the food was okay (one level up from a TV dinner) but we thought it was pretty good and my kids definitely liked it the best of all the places we ate. The dressing on the salad was good (strawberry vinagrette, I think) but the rolls were dry and not warm. However, my DS2 LOVED them because of the delicious honey butter! All of the hot food was great, and DH and I really enjoyed the flank steak. And we all LOVED the warm cherry cobbler!

The CM handling the characters must have missed something because all of them characters came around twice to our table! It was worth it just for all of that extra attention!

Overall I would say food is okay, but atmosphere and interaction were great. It was a great way to kick off our MNSSHP!!

We went on 10/16 and the food was very good. Dh liked the ham and steak but I only cared for the turkey. It was very moist. The potatoes were great. The kids liked the mac-n-cheese. The salad dressing was very good and a huge hit with my 2 yr old. Green beans were a'dente - too hard for me.
The characters and staff were all dressed up and it was a very fun time. Would do it again.

We went on 10/7. The food was pretty much the same as usual. The characters were dressed in costumes. Chip and Dale had spiderman masks, Goofy was dressed as Zorro, Minnie had a ghost mask on, Pluto was dressed as, um, Pluto. The neat thing was, on our way out of the restaurant, a MK manager saw our costumes and asked us to be Grand Marshals for the 8:00 parade. It was great. We got to ride in the front car, it used to belong to Walt. I'd post a pic of our costumes but the IMG interface is smarter than me.

I know we will enjoy it. Can't believe the trip is almost here. Thanks for all of the reports on the dinner at LTT and the costumes.

Is it regular MASHED potatoes or SWEET potatoes on the menu? I always thought it was regular mashed potatoes and my kids love them. I havent been to LTT, but have read the menu somewhere. They wont touch sweet potatoes. Someone please tell me that they have regular mashed potatoes at LTT!!!!!! :wave2:

On 10/20 - it was regular mashed potatoes. (homemade with lumps - yum!)
Free refills on drinks - that's what made me so full. Also, my son got dirt and worms for dessert and I got the cherry cobbler. I loved seeing everyone's costumes, castmembers and diners. pirate:

It was regular mashed potatoes on 10/16. Very yummy. We skipped desert because we had ordered a cake and ate less than 1/2 of that. Passed it along to alother table which happed to have a birthday girl at the table.
