6/29 DINNER @ Liberty Tree Tavern

The food was great. It felt like Thanksgiving (ham, turkey, mashed potatos, corn on the cob, etc). Everyone (kids 7,6,2 and wife and myself) all ate very well and we left very full. Th characters that night were Donald, Daisy, Minnie, PLuto and some Racoon. They each came by at least 3x while we were there. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I think this was everyone's favorite or at least a tie with Whispering Canyon.

6/30 DINNER @ Whispering Canyon Cafe

We all chose to do the all you can eat platter. Everything (ribs, pulled beef, chicken, stew, sausage, corn on the cob) was very good. Everyone especially liked the ribs. the corn bread was also very good. The kids loved the horse race around the restaurant and the big forks given to those who drop their regular one. The whole restauranmt also did the hokey pokey whcih was fun. The only negative was that the waitress brought over a new drink ( a coke) when I was nearing the end of the one I had, I assumed that this was a free refill. I was wrong. Not a big deal, but I didn't really want it. My wife said that she notice that this was happening at other tables also. Just an FYI. I would still highly recommend this restaurant.

Pete,

Were you charged another $1.99 for the second coke?

Yeah, I was charged for it. I didn't complain because I drank about half of it and my 2 yr old was getting a little to active and I needed to get outta there, so I didn't bother.

Umm.. the racoon's name is Meeko, just so you know. He's from Pocahontas, which is how he fits in with the Colonial American theme.

You were there the first day of the new characters! Glad they were wonderful. We had not wanted to try it with the old characters, but since they changed it on the 29th, we will be trying it in Nov!:D Thanks for the review.

That is sooo neat to see Donald and Daisy. Now, I want to go back again too. I wanted to go back just for the food but now I REALLY want to go back. You RARELY get to see Donald and Daisy anymore. Thanks for posting.

...(snip).....

Was Mickey there, too? We plan to eat at LTT this December and hope to see Mickey Mouse there as well as the others. Kind of excited about Donald & Daisy!

No, Mickey wasn't there, but it was a great meal and lots of fun with the characters that were there.
