We are going there for the character dinner and and I was wondering if they will let my kids have something in place of the salad which they don't eat. I noticed on Allears that they have a child's appetizer of a fruit plate and they would love that. I would still like them to eat the rest of the food that comes with the all you can eat meal instead of ordering them a special kids meal. Has anyone tried this substitution? BTW, this is with the Dining plan and I would not want to pay OOP for the fruit.

I know that because of my Vegan diet that they can make me some extra stuff at no extra charge. I am not sure what OOP means ? But if it has something to do with paying extra for it well I am just not sure ? I hope someone else can help you out. Have you tried calling Disney about this ?

You may already be clear on this, but LTT dinner is served family style -- you don't look at a menu or order, they just bring on the food and it is "all you care to eat." That said, you may still be able to request a separate fruit plate, but it's hard to say whether or not they would charge you extra for it. My well-intentioned advice is to just let the kids not eat the salad and let them load up on all the other goodies that are served, if you can't easily get the fruit.

OOP means out of pocket (paying cash instead of using dining credits).
I guess when I get there I will ask about the fruit plate substitution. My younger DD loves fruit.

When we ate there on 12/6, I asked that they reduce the amount of meat because my sister wouldn't eat it and neither would dd. She asked my sis about a veggie meal and my sister enjoyed it very much. I am sure that they will have a fruit plate they can bring out, and I am sure you will get charged for it, but paying OOP shouldn't be a problem. If you have a really nice server, maybe you won't be charged. Either way, I am sure you will be satistified as we were with this restaurant. It was great!
