We are trying the DDp for the first time in May. I saw on the menus that a cherry cobbler is included with your meal. Does that count as your dessert on DDp or can you order something else?

Cherry cobbler is pretty much it. It is a set menu so they just bring things to your table much like Ohana. They're pretty good at moving things along there. I think you may be able to get ice cream w/your cobbler but am not 100% sure.

We were just there during President's week and were served apple cobbler with ice cream. My son doesn't eat that, so the waiter provided him a bowl of plain vanilla ice cream, there were no other choices.
