Levi and Bristol, shouldn't they get married?

Just an FYI, the University of Chicago is not the University of Illinois at Chicago. The papers are at the University of Illinois; Obama used to teach at the University of Chicago. They are two very different institutions.

Carry on....

Thank you for the correction.

Wow the silence for Steve on this one is deafening.

Steve tends to only comment on those post that he or she can fight with. Those making a point he or she tends to ignore.

No. They should shack up together and live in SIN. That should really get the base excited!

Boy - maybe SP is the one to do the job. Apparently she can make teenagers get pregnant and then make them pretend they want to get married when they don't. She has a lot of power!

I hope they do get married, and I believe Sarah Palin when she says they will. Statistically, babies born out of wedlock do not fare well later in life. I know people don't like to hear that, but it's true. Much of what plagues our inner city today — high crime rates, high likelihood of young men going to prison, high drop-out rate, poor literacy, obesity, drug abuse, sex abuse, child abuse, and multi-generational poverty — can be traced directly to the climbing illegitimacy rates in those same communities. Being born out of wedlock — and its coinciding paternal abandonment — is tragic for most children.

Like so many other things, our wise grandmothers were right when they said "Get married!"

So, basically, if I decide to become a single mom, my children will turn out to be criminals?

Sarah says they will get married, right? That's an obvious lie because if they were getting married, they would be already!! What are they waiting for? It makes no sense.

Why doesn't it make sense that they are waiting?
To finish school first
To wait for the elections to be over in order to plan the wedding
Apparantly insurance is also a possibility
Because she wouldn't fit in her dream dress with a pregnant belly
about 100s of other reasons.

Should they maybe ask you to be the best man?

I had some friends in high school that had a kid together senior year. They got married at the rather strong insistence of their parents. They got married after graduation, he being 17 and she 18. They filed for divorce after three months. Most, if not all, teens, are not emotionally mature enough to handle marriage.

same thing happened to my aunt. They've been married over 50 years now;) Although I don't think strong insistence of parents was the reason. I have no idea what motivates this couple toward marriage but I do know it is not my concern.
