We will be sailing on the Wonder in June and our cabin is on deck 2. Just wanted to know if anyone prefers this deck. Last trip we were on deck 7 and we loved it. I know this time we won't be as close to the pools/soda, but we will be closer to evening meals/clubs. I am worried a little about rough seas and being this low. Will welcome any thoughts. Thanks!

There are pluses to every deck. Deck 2 is great for embarking/disembarking at ports. No OVERFULL elevators.

IMHO lower is better for motion. You are often advised to go to the lower decks to feel better. And I have sailed with 30 foot plus waves in hurricane season. I found myself wanting any reason to go lower, and it worked..

You will enjoy this I am sure.:goodvibes

We have stayed on deck #2 and #1 both were fine, we have also stayed on deck#6. I'd have to say the lower the better as far as motion goes, as well as the noise level.

Been on decks 1, 2, and 8. I prefer 1 or 2, much less motion.

We had a cat. 9 room on deck 2 and LOVED it!! We were just down the hall from Oceanquest and the guest laundry. I thought deck 2 was much more quiet and had less foot traffic than the upper decks (except for port days when folks were embarking/debarking).

i have a cat 9 on deck 2 ROOM 2508 for next saturday magic eastern cruise! looking forward to it:cool1:

glad to hear great reviews on that floor!!

Been on two cruises - both DCL - and both on level 2....Wonder room 2090 and Magic 2030 - LOVED them both.

We have been on Deck 2 twice and loved it, we are booked for it again in 5 weeks, it is very convenient to the restaurants, and to get off in port. Honestly, I think that as long as I am on the ship every single deck is great, and I can give you pros for all of them.

Here I go again...spouting the benefits of Deck 2!!! Deck 2 is actually one of my favorite decks....here is why......

Actually, Decks 1 and 2 are very convenient...especially deck 2. Think about all they are close to....

Just one short flight of stairs up is deck 3 where the Guest Service Desk, Lumiere's, Shore Excursion Deck, the Atrium, most of the portrait ops, most of the character meet and greets, the Promenade Lounge, the Internet Cafe, Parrot Cay......why people say Deck 2 is incovenient is beyond me....it very close to the hub of most that is going on onboard. Also is the new new additional kids area on Deck 2 which is convenient if you have kids.

Now, on deck 4 which is just two flights away from Deck 2 is Studio Sea, the Walt Disney Theatre, the two onboard shops, those wonderful Deck 4 lounge chairs and walking/jogging area and Animator's Palate.

Then one more deck up is the kids clubs and movie theatre.....so Deck 2 is VERY convenient to many, many things.....the portholes on deck 2 are huge and to me.

The only thing not really close to Deck 2 is the pool deck which is on Deck 9 but that is what elevators are for!!!

We have stayed on every deck on DCL in all of our 16 DCL cruises and if we are not getting a veranda, we opt for Deck 2....it is great to be close to the sea and look out at that beautiful water!!

Another great benefit for staying on Deck 2 is the convenience of getting back to your room when you return from being off the ship....most people who have cabins on higher decks are all waiting for the elevators when you can just by pass them and walk up one flight and down the hall and you are at your cabin....priceless, especially when you are hot and tired after a long day onshore!!!

we've stayed on deck 2 for both of our disney cruises too. and like pp's we thought it was very convenient! loved it actually! we were right by the elevators too, and even then it was still quiet. we used the stairs for most everything though...even to go to the pool...thought that was a good way to justify all the overeating we were doing!!! :rotfl2:

I agree with mmouse37. We have stayed on Deck 2 both of our times on DCL and absolutely loved it and are planning on staying there again this coming November.

This is our cruise also! We are, also, on Deck 2. I am new to THESE boards, as I have been looking for more info on the cruises. I am a very long time, loyal member to other boards.

I can't wait just 10 days or so! :cheer2: pirate: :cool1:
