The keyboard on my lap top is black - and the letters are white.. Some of the letters are wearing off now.. Not a problem for me, but seems to be a problem for others when they need to use my lap top..

Is there such a thing as a white permanent marker? And if so, would it work on my keyboard? Don't want to try to use nail polish because my hands shake too much and I'll make a mess of it.. LOL

Anyone else have their letters "wear off"?

Thanks!

I would just buy the replacement letter stickers that are made for keyboards. We do it all of the time on my staff's computers at work.

I did not know they make replacement stickers. cool. would have been great before. We had a grey one that I used a fine tip sharpie on. I don't know if sharpie makes a white but they do make a silver. You said your hands shake too much for nailpolish, could someone else do it for you? Or do they possibly sell a fine tip white nail polish for use with the french manicure?

I would say to clean the keys very thoroughly before hand though. We always had to rewrite the letters with the black sharpie, they did wear off.

Stickers are cool. I'll look into that, we have the middle son the old computer with the keyboard with rubbed off letters. Good thing he knows how to type ;o)

Thanks for the suggestions! I didn't know they made stickers either.. :)

I do think I have a silver fine point marker here - never thought of using that.. I'll probably try that first - and if I don't like the way it comes out, I'll look for the stickers.. I'm assuming I could get them in Office Max or Staples?

My Office Manager orders them online, I have no idea where. I'm sure they can be googled.

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind in case the marker doesn't work..:goodvibes

You could also use a wite-out pen. Would be low cost and easy to use.

Come on, you can tell me, is the "G" wearing out???
:lmao::lmao:

(Sorry, I couldn't resist!)

I'm not sure if I still have a white permanent marker in my kitchen. If you need it, I'd be happy to send it to you. If I don't have one, my DS can try to get one from work tomorrow. (His uncle is his boss and wouldn't be mad about Ivan taking one.)

I used several of them at my old job to mark asset numbers on black PCs.

My stickers are from Walt Disney World - I bought the at the Writer's Stop at the Studios but you might be able to buy them on line somewhere. They also had princess design stickers.
