"To whom it may concern:
We just purchased into
DVC recently with the thought that availability of flexibility was a key advantage to your membership.
My wife and I generally vacation for stays longer than 7 days. With this new system in place, are we to assume that we can no longer book a vacation longer than 7 days?
If I have to end up booking 2 separate reservations, will I be guaranteed an open second week?
Also, we book more than one room seeing that we have many people going with us. I can only see complications now having to secure 4 reservations.
We have only booked once so far, and the booking process went fine. We have never booked day by day.
I am one that likes to know that once reservations are made, they are set for the whole vacation.
Another thought, if I were to make reservations well into the 11 month window (home resort), am I able to book more than 7 days then?
Before signing into Disney, I had imagined that we were entering into a contract with a company that really had a professional, up front, business-like manner to them. I have to wonder now since a change like this has been made with no foreknowledge to the people that have become loyal to you
. Not to mention that from whats being written, your own employees dont seem to be given much notice either. From what Ive heard, they have differing opinions as to what the new rules mean.
In all honesty, I dont mean to sound harsh. This has just upset so many people, and completely confused and complicated our situation even more.
Please write back and confirm my questions, and also please post something public in detail
much sooner than the next edition of your magazine.
Thank you in advance for your concern."
