Letterman Questions?

OK my husband and I will be in the Big apple in September and have requested tickets for the David Letterman show. According to their web page they will call you and ask you a trivia question about the show before granting you tickets. Has anyone ever been through this process before? If so what questions were you asked. I watch the show occasionally but I have a horrible memory, I would appreciate any help or advice!

Thanks

Laura

Relax..........if you've watched the show AT ALL, the questions should probably be easy. When I was called, they asked me "What is the name of the stage manager"? They'll ask really obvious questions regarding the show regulars. Have a great time when you go.

My sister did this a few years back and they asked her what segment they did on a certain night. Like the mail bag or something like that. She was able to answer it no problem

They asked me the name of the band and band leader...they are really easy. The show is fun, just be prepared to stand in line a while. If you're in the mood for another good laugh, try to get "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" tickets. We've seen him too and he's great as well. Good luck getting tickets :thumbsup2 !!!

I don't think it matters if you get the question right... at least for me it didn't. I forget the question they asked but I got it wrong and they still gave me the tickets. I never even got the feeling that I had to get it right.... they never missed a beat when I got it wrong.

I wouldn't worry about it.

OK--I must be a real dummy because I got called not once, but twice and didn't know the answer either time. (I don't recall the questions) They also did NOT give me the tickets either time. Hopefully, you'll know it and that will be the end of it. Good luck!

Pull up the website for the show because it gives you recaps of the shows and the characters name. Hope it helps!!!

the question they asked us was......... What is the name of Rupperts deli???.........it's the hello deli.

They asked me the name of the only female in the band. I answered Felicia, I hope that was her name because I got the tickets!

We just got back from the big apple on Friday and never got our tickets. I sent the email about 6 wks back and heard nothing. We didn't even see the crew asking the questions on the street to get tickets. Very disappointing but we did a lot of other fun stuff.

This is so funny to see this thread, as I'm going through the same thing! We are going in October and I've emailed for the tickets and although I used to be a regular viewer, lately, I just can't seem to stay up. So I keep saying to DH that I'm all stressed out about missing the questions and not getting the tix! :happytv:

I'm a huge Letterman fan. Both times I've seen the show I
didn't get tickets until I got in NYC. I went last August.
There are instructions on the door of the theater. We
went by on Sunday talked to the folks and told them what
dates we would like to go. I got the call Monday for the
Tuesday show. I didn't have to answer a question. I did
have to answer a question when I saw the show in 2001.
They ask you how often you watch the show and I think
they base the toughness of the question on how much you
watch. I told them I recorded the show every night. They
ask me "Who reads the Oprah transcripts?" When I answered
Pat Farmer and Kenny Shenan they looked at me like I was
a stalker.
