FYI: According to the fine print on my ticket receipt from 3 weeks ago, children aged 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult when visiting the theme parks.

So we opened the door to our room to let it air out for a while but I was concerned that if it was coming through that strong in our room, I didn't want it to affect any little kids that may be in the rooms right near us. So we called to the front desk and to let them know and we even said "this might sound crazy but..." and the woman said they would send security to knock on some doors which they never did. Though when we left the next morning there were 2 air filters sitting by our door and the door next to ours. I understand that the woman probably thought we were crazy bc sometimes people exaggerate or even make things up. But this was a situation where I was positive of what was going on. People can do what they want in their homes in their own privacy but it made me so mad that someone would be smoking up in such a small hotel room with so many kids and families at the resort.

Based on your experience, the next time somebody smells something peculiar in a room, maybe the best thing to do would be to call the front desk and report a strong odor of smoke, without being specific. They'll be concerned about protecting their assets, and send someone to check pronto.

Based on observed behavior with these groups, and the total lack of respect for the rights of others and lack of supervision demonstrated by their representatives, I think the OP showed great restraint is using the terms 'hatefual and monsters'. Those criticizing his use of those terms have obviously had no experience with the hateful little monsters.....and I too, have used an abundance of restraint. Calling a spade a spade is honesty, and shouldn't be denigrated. The next step is to let Disney know they will not be in your plans as long as they permit and evidently condone this type of behaviour.

Have to agree! And calling them hateful little monsters is nothing compared to what some of them call us because we were disturbed by their behavior or being confronted by a pack of them because you ask them to hold down the noise a little. I want to thank you for taking the time to address this issue with the Pop Warner organization. But I don't agree that they have no responsibility over their actions when they are not competing. Somebody is letting them run the parks in packs and acting the way they do, perhaps Disney needs to discourage this and kindly escort them back to their hotels when they are being disruptive and disturbing to many other people.

Just an idea (inspired by JeanfromBNA): Why not contact some of the local orlando TV news stations and/or newspapers, and provide them with a link to this thread and other threads on this topic? From what I've read here on this DIS, this problem is fairly widespread and isn't seeming to get any better. Maybe shining the bright light of the camera eye, as it were, would produce some results.

Anyone game?

Just a thought - to those who say Disney World is a place for kids....

The kids cannot get in without an adult, so it seems to me that Disney is a place for everybody to enjoy!

Actually Disney policy is only that kids 7 and under HAVE to be accompanied by an adult (10 at the water parks). These kids are obviously all much older than 7 which seems to be why they're allowed to roam the parks free and why the problems are happening.

Regardless, it is not just for kids!!!

If the place is for everybody, then everybody there should be expected to be respectful and maintain a family atmosphere attitude and mouth!!
