I thought you all would get a kick out of this. I received this letter from a parent:
Dear Mrs. Minnie,
As you know, our family is going to Disney World in two weeks. Trina just informed me that her classmate Bruce is at Disney World right now. When he returns, will you please make sure that he doesn't talk about his trip at all? We want to make sure that no one ruins Trina's first experience at Disney World, especially considering this trip is costing us a fortune.
Can you beat that?!??!
I wrote back that part of being in Kindergarten is sharing our experiences, and that I would not take that away from Bruce. I told her that I was sure that anything Bruce told Trina about Disney World would only make her more excited about her upcoming adventure.
Doesn't this kid watch the Disney channel? I know she does! Besides, she's been talking about the trip for weeks, and the other kids have all shared their experiences already.
good grief.

Wow, I never cease to be amazed how self-centered some parents are!

So, did she want you to get out the duct tape and tape Bruce's mouth shut for a few weeks?

If I'd received a note like that, I probably would have encouraged Bruce to talk endlessly about Disney.
