Did all DVCERS get a letter from Iger thanking us for loyalty? I have tried to copy but can’t. It sounds as it’s to all “loyal fans.”

Dear M, As we approach the end of 2022, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to the biggest Disney fans in the world – all of you. Disney is fortunate to have the most devoted and enthusiastic fans, and I was reminded of this a few weeks ago when I visited Disneyland Resort and attended the Candlelight Processional. It was invigorating to be surrounded by so many guests who make what we do possible. We love your passion for our company and your enthusiasm for what we create, and we will continue to do our best to exceed your highest expectations. As you know, next year Disney will mark its 100th anniversary. We are immeasurably grateful to the generations of fans all around the globe who have invited our stories and characters into their lives, and we look forward to celebrating the groundbreaking moments, the cherished memories, and the creative visionaries that made Disney the most beloved name in entertainment over the past century. During the coming year, D23 will launch a slate of exciting events to mark this historic milestone. More information can be found here. Looking at all the opportunities ahead, I can honestly say there has never been a better time to be a Disney fan. It is an extraordinary privilege to lead this remarkable company again, and I am so grateful for your continued passion for Disney. On behalf of all of us at The Walt Disney Company, I wish you a wonderful holiday season and a very happy and prosperous New Year. | |||

I agree.Yes, I just got one also. It's a nice gesture.
Dear Barbara, As we approach the end of 2022, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to the biggest Disney fans in the world - all of you That’s how it starts! |
Iger was never afraid to invest in the parks. Carsland, Avengers Campus, Galaxy's Edge, Toy Story Land, New Fantasyland, Pandora, Epcot rebuild...all things approved under Iger's watch. Yes, prices went up and there was belt-tightening in certain areas. But there was also a consistent effort to return value to guests by keeping the parks fresh."old' Bob is better a smoothing the message. "new' Bob was not matter of fact/ harsh.
They both have the same goals, just a different style of talking.
Do not fool yourself that "old' Iger will be better . Iger set up the plans for the future of Disney before he left.
Now he has to make it work .
Not to defend him in the least but just to refresh memories - Chapek was head of Parks during all those investments, he would have been instrumental in putting together the proposals that Iger then approved. What we see as Park neglect really started when the streaming beast had to be feed dollars...oh and that Covid thing.Iger was never afraid to invest in the parks. Carsland, Avengers Campus, Galaxy's Edge, Toy Story Land, New Fantasyland, Pandora, Epcot rebuild...all things approved under Iger's watch. Yes, prices went up and there was belt-tightening in certain areas. But there was also a consistent effort to return value to guests by keeping the parks fresh.
Chapek did none of that. The final straw was allowing September's D23 pass with basically no new announcements for the US parks. In 2.5 years at the helm, I'm not sure he approved anything domestically beyond Runaway Railway at DL.
Going forward, I'm not sure theme park fans can reasonably expect more than what Iger delivered throughout the 2000s. Chapek certainly provided a look at how things could get worse.
