Let's talk stocking stuffers!

DH always puts dark chocolate, gloves and Brazil nuts. Then rounds it out with other small things.

I always put chocolate, usually a Mustang Magazine, pistachios and whatever little goodies seem like a good idea at the time.

Lottery tickets, beef jerky, chocolate, bumper sticker, something to do with his favorite football team and whatever else I come across that I think he may like.

I just got some stuff today! For DH, sunglasses and some really good chocolate that he likes. For DD17, some body lotion from Victoria's Secret, a small first aid kit for her car, and Swedish Fish. For DS24, a bottle of Whoop-A** Chipotle BBQ sauce and hot nuts. Christian doesn't really get a stocking(he's not much into Christmas at all) but he gets various snacks.

Lotto tickets and usually candy, but DH just found out he is pre-diabetic so the candy is out this year. I found some silly putty the other day in the $1 bin at Target so he will get that and probably some beef jerky. Maybe some wire strippers too because I tried to use his a couple of months ago and they didn't work very well.

I have type 2 diabetes. Some of the things that I can have are pork rinds, beef jerky, cheese sticks, and fruit & nuts.

Nuts are a good idea. I forgot that I put a can of nuts in his stocking last year.

With DH and two teenage boys I find things for their travel bags - travel size toothpaste, deodorant, new toothbrushes, Axe, and always some candy. Usually the movie theater boxes from Walgreens. I also put in socks (buy one pack and divide between the 3) or if someone needs colored socks for church that works too.

For me DH usually puts in a magazine, chapstick, foot lotion, chocolates.

Adults: Deodorant, razors, chapstick, mints, gum, WaWa gift cards, candy, travel hand sanitizer, toothbrush, nail clippers.

Last year it was body wash, tooth paste, razors, etc and then special candy and a can of soap for my DD who said she didn't want candy this year and then complained all day that her sister got candy and she didnt.

We do little fun things in our stockings. lip gloss or chapstick.... this year I got DH "Chicken Poop Lip Junk" (contains no poop). He will get a kick out of it. He loves chap stick and needs loads of it in Afghanistan. He also got a book on tape, a new tooth brush, candy, a wallet and a few cigars.

Where to you buy "Poop" chapstick? I saw it on Amazon through a third-party for $3 plus $6 shipping. That's expensive poop!

I am my parents' youngest child and since I was a teen my mom usually fills our stockings with deordants, small bottles of body spray, lotion, playing cards, chapstick, candies, small pocket calendars and plastic or cermaic mugs or thermus.

A few things I haven't seen mentioned here include: Yankee Candle air freshners, tire pressure gauge, hair clips, and jewelry. My mother always put a nice piece of jewelry in the toe. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't...this year DD is getting a small bottle of Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy which is relatively expensive perfume for a 13 year old IMHO so it's going to the toe:thumbsup2

I usually put scratch off lottery tickets, a Wawa gift card (for coffee, of course!) and Reese's peanut butter cups in DH's stocking.

My boys vary from year to year:

This year, I got them each a Phillies Pez dispenser, Extra Dessert Gum, and Disney gift cards and Chapstick.

My DS11 is also getting WWE trading cards, Axe body spray (so not ready for him to wear it, but he's been begging!)

DS15 is getting a RAZOR and SHAVING CREAM!! :sad1: Wow, did the days of putting Hotwheels in his stocking go by fast!!

He's also getting new ear buds.

I'm sure I'll come up with a couple more things before Christmas actually gets here....

I usually got lip gloss, chocolate, a new toothbrush, small gifts, etc.

Stockings are the highlight of the morning at our house. Now that the kids are older, each of us gets one stocking stuffer for each family member, and it's fun to see how creative everyone can get! We do candy, gift cards, mini bottles, toothpaste and toothbrushes, little knick knacks, small photo frames, small food items, etc. I also include an ornament for each of my kids with the year written on the bottom. I started that when they were born, and each ornament is relevant to an event or a hobby for the past year.
