I need some creative ideas! What does Santa fill the adult (both men and women's) stockings with in your house?

Well, for DD7, she usually gets little nail polishes and lip glosses, always PEZ, Sponge Bob Cmas gummies and maybe some other little unique candy goodies. This year includes a pack of squinkies, bubble gum in the shape of a candy cane and a Knock Knock joke book I just picked up at her school book fair today (she has ONE joke she tells constantly :lmao:)

For DH, he gets Sponge Bog gummies too and I usually go to Fresh Market and fill little bags with those snack mixes he likes....the wasabi pea mix, etc.

Santa forgot my stocking last year :sad1:, DH is terrible about the "little" things!

candy....Ghiradelli squares and chocolate "oranges"
DVDs, gift cards, lotions, hair things, note pads, pens (got the Disney kooky ones this year), calendars, books, some little toys...this year is the "grow" your own ....I think I got a shark, turtle, manta, croc

This year I am putting in small sleeve of golf balls, some popcorn kernels and what everelse I can think of. I would be grateful for more ideas myself.

We do little fun things in our stockings. lip gloss or chapstick.... this year I got DH "Chicken Poop Lip Junk" (contains no poop). He will get a kick out of it. He loves chap stick and needs loads of it in Afghanistan. He also got a book on tape, a new tooth brush, candy, a wallet and a few cigars.

First, I fill my own stocking. I could never rely on dh to do that.

I mainly put magazines in mine and dh's stocking - mags I'd never usually spend the money on (People, travel, etc, for me... race car mags, boating, investment, etc, for dh). We're always home the week between xmas and new years, so there's lots of sitting around/relaxing time. DH also gets "good" chocolates (I get chocolate migrains).

Kids get the usual kid stuff. So do the doggies.

good chocolates

french soaps

mini bottles of liquor

playing cards

memory cards for the digital camera

ear bags (warmers)

CDs or DVDs

lotions/perfume/lip gloss/etc

socks/ties/etc

new razors and/ or blades

sunglasses

toys! Slinky/little set pf legos/yo-yo/etc.

The stockings for the grown-ups in our house usually hang kinda limp! I'll put the usual orange in the toe, more for tradition than anything. For hubby, I'll put his traditional Reese's snowman, and any little hardware gadgets he uses a lot -- changeable screwdriver, tape measure, things he uses in different places like the boat, garage, office, etc. Little gourmet coffees, small bottles of special hot sauces, spare earphones to keep in the car...I guess just little odds and ends that don't cost a lot but he uses/loses often.

Ours are always filled with toys and lottery tickets. Toys, in particular, because grown-ups don't get enough toys for Christmas!

Things like UNO, Play-Doh, action figures, hot wheels, Vinylmation, travel games, small craft kits, etc.

:earsboy:

All 4 of us are getting $1 book lights from Christmas Tree Shops, Jelly Belly's, $10 I-tunes gift cards and AAA movie passes. Other possibly choice could be Blockbuster gift cards, Duncan Donuts gift cards or Panera Gift Cards. A very good friend of mine LOVES her husbands pack of Honey-Do coupons. This year she used them to get her deck finished, get her bedroom painted and to get her closet re-organized.... she would pull them out and use one every so often, it was a hoot.

the adults don't get stockings in my household. DD13's stocking will have lip gloss or chapstick, nail polish, hand lotion, a toothbrush, a pack of spin pins, a booklight for her new nook, a pack of ice breakers mints, a bag of sugar free jolly ranchers...that should about fill it up.
if i were to get a stocking, i would want candy canes, a booklight for my nook, maybe a game for the new wii, hand lotion, a few packs of spearmint tic-tacs...hmmm...can't think of anything else. oh, and a bag of corn nuts. LOVE those things. ranch flavor, please.

Mine usually gets nothing unless I put it there. One year it is going to be a little blue box.

Hubby's stocking, I find small toys (like indiv. Lego kit--this year is a wizard), toothbrush and candy. He and I have mini-stockings.

Kids get token toy items, socks, candy, special spin brushes, silly bands, hair accessories for the girls and cars themes items like pencils and stickers for my son. Can't recall what else. And traditionally, each item is wrapped. Stockings are set at their stockings at their place at the table. Stocking time is almost as exciting as present time in our home even though it is all stuff usually $5 and less. I aim to make them fun!

Underwear, card games, ornaments, knick knacks, deodorant, shampoo, toiletry type stuff. My fiance puts gift cards in mine but growing up we never did that, only little stuff.

I always ask for Softlips lip balm, i LIVE for that stuff, maple sugar candy and a B&N gift card. My mom will usually put in earrings, small candies, a slim jim (im addicted), and a bookmark (i collect them).

In my moms I put a B&N gift card, stamps, some cute desk items for her at work, and some fuzzy socks.

My dads usually has gift cards to Menards and lots of candy because he is impossible to buy for :) although i made the mistake last year of putting the candy in really early and we had lots of fires and it all melted :rolleyes1 oops haha, so i replaced it all after the holidays :)

my best friend and i will decorate a stocking for each other every year and we give practical stuff like gum, mints, chapstick, face scrub and other things that we know we'll use all year but hate to buy for ourselves, and also candies ;)
