We are just around 30 days out from our stay at the BC!

This is also our first Memorial Day Weekend.

We have been Labor Day Weekend, Veteran's Day Weekend, Columbus Day Weekend, and Thanksgiving Day Weekend. The crowds have never bothered us.

Anyone want to share their experiences...tips...?

We have never been for Memorial Day Weekend either.

We are going this year and staying at the Contemporary.

Any input???

Who else is going this weekend and where are you staying?

We will be arriving Friday, May 28 and staying till Sat. June 5 at ASSp. This is our first time to go at this time also. With one in school and DD a teacher and myself a school district bookkeeper, we can only go when school is out. So we have gone spring break and Christmas before. This will be a new experience for us.

This will be our first time going over a holiday weekend (kids are in high school now and it is too hard to pull them out during the school year). We have friends who went over Memorial Day last year and their advice is the same as you've heard for any busy time: get to the parks when they first open, use fastpass as much as possible, make sure you have a PS for sit down meals, and avoid the water parks on the weekend. They said it was quite managable, which convinced us to give it a try. We'll see!!!!

We'll be at the Poly May 29th-June 5th. First time over Memorial Day weekend.

We are going and usually go around Memorial Day. The crowds are not too bad in my opinion. It is similar to Labor Day. The actual weekend itself will definitely be more crowded, but for those staying a few extra days before or after, we tend to notice quite a bit less as far as crowds go. The water parks are really tight though - so go at opening and stay for a few hours. I would say do the same for the parks on the actual Memorial Day weekend as well. Take advantage of the early park hours if you can. Disney does a pretty good job as far as lines and crowds, and you should be able to work your way around the parks fairly easily - FastPass should be available too. Other than the weekend itself, it really isn't a bad time to go. Alot of kids are still in school, so the big 'summer vacation' crowds aren't there yet. I tend to think alot of Floridians go since it is a holiday weekend. Good luck!

I agree w/the repvious poster, the weekend and Memorial day will be busy but the following days will drop of a good bit. I'll arrive Sunday of Memorial day weekend so my first park day will be Memorial day. This is the fourth time for us to go at this time and we've really enjoyed it, it is always our kids first weekend out of school.

we usually go. We go the Saturday before Memorial Day until the next Saturday. This year, we're going in July instead for work related reasons. We only have a little time off in late May so we're going to the Outer Banks instead.

This is a great time to go! The International Flower & Garden Festival is still going on. It's absolutely breathtaking over at Epcot during this time. Many school systems in the country are still in session, so crowds are "moderate." It's certainly hot, this is FL after all, but it's not sweltering like July and August.

About Crowds - they aren't heavy except for memorial weekend and memorial day itself. Stay away from the MK on Saturday prior to and on Memorial Day. Sunday a.m. is fine. The other parks don't seem as crowded. After Memorial Day - its' smooth sailing with moderate crowds.

It's a perfect time to go!

Have fun - and we usually stay at the BC. You're going to have a ball.

DD15 and I went last year at Memorial Day and stayed 8 days. Crowds were not bad. We stayed at AKL

We are arriving this year on Friday 28 May and depart Sunday 6 June and are staying at POFQ.

We tend to be very flexible. Whatever the crowd level is like this year, we will work our plans around that. We have been enough times that we are not in commando mode. Whatever gets done, gets done:)

We will be at the Yacht Club May 27th-June 3rd. I am nervous about the crowds since this is our first trip tp WDW!!

We are going from May 28 to June 2. This is our first time going Memorial Weekend so I am really happy to hear from everyone who has experience with WDW at this holiday!

We were there last yr over Memorial Day weekend, we checked in that Sun. On the Sunday, we checked into BWV late morning and headed over to MK for CP PS (last lunch PS.) It was perfect, after lunch we milled around and rode some rides but not commando. It was crowded, but workable. On Memorial Day, we spent the day in Epcot and didn't feel the impact of the holiday. I think that it will definitely be crowded at MK so if you must go on Memorial Day, go to MK early and get it done early then head somewhere else. The rest of the week was very do-able at any park.
