Let's talk lime green

In the past on every trip I have worn lime green ribbons attached to the back and front of my waist pouch. I also made a DIS button with ribbons attached. Each trip another DISer has noticed and said hello. This year I've purchased a lime green antenna topper and DIS t-shirts from the DIS Shop. I will also don a few green ribbons on days I don't wear the shirt. Please look for me May 2-12! And I'll be looking for YOUR lime green ribbon too!

I'll be there on the 11th and probably miss you, but I'm curious; "where" are you putting the antenna topper??
If I do see you, I will be sure to say "hello"! I'll be there with my 15yr old son. Where are you staying? We'll be going back to FQ! Can't wait!!

We're renting a car and will be putting the antenna topper on the ......drum roll....antenna! LOL We're splitting our stay. First three days at the Holiday Inn on Hotel Blvd across from DD. Then moving to the Dolphin for four nights and ending wtih four days at the Sheraton Safari.

You're gonna love this....I work at Home Depot part time and I don't know what you're talking about! We have lime green Mickey's??? I'm going to have to check that out at work tonight and pick me up some. What are they exactly? Stickers, wood, plastic?? I know we have lamps, wallpaper, boarders and a few area rugs, but I think that's it.

Go to the paint section. There are Mickey shaped paint color samples for the Disney paint.

We bought lime green luggage straps and tags at Target a few months ago. We also have the mickey heads from Home Depot! I have also found lime green tshirts for the family to wear! We're set and we don't even leave for 9 more months! YIKES!

On our early March trip I had lime ribbons (4 of them) on my backpack. As well as I put 2 on each piece of luggage (to help identify them at baggage claim as well as if I seen any Diser's at MCO). Anyhow-- I looked so hard all week . So many people from the boards were going when I was. Not 1 lime green anywhere-- nor did anyone say anything to me.

Anytime DH and I would split up and he had the bag-- I asked him--- I told him the drill. Just in case someone saw it. I didn't want him looking at them like they were crazy!!

I have a lime green DIS key Chain ( thanks webmaster John?)
I have a home depot mickey that I wear in a plastic pocket on my shirt
I think there is more.

We were at WDW in October for MNSSHP. We found other DIS members by their Green Mickey Heads from Home Depot. It was fun to talk to each other and compare notes.

We will look for you JimmiJ. We are also there in June at the same time. Fellow Longhorns up the road...

I will not approach anyone unless you are wearing lime green ribbons, or some other distinctive DIS lime green item. A few years back when I first learned of the DIS and the lime green association, I stopped three people wearing lime green at WDW. They all thought I was nuts...never heard of DIS boards. That color is pretty popular for clothing and other items, so if you want to be noticed by fellow DISers....wear ribbons or DIS items!

I did the same thing to a family! In October, they did the rope drop at EPCOT. Later that morning, we were behind them in line at Test Track. There were 4 adults...2 were grandparents, and I think, IF I counted right, 8 kids? It was a LARGE family. All were wearing lime green shirts and white skorts/shorts. I finally got where I could ask the mom if they were from the Dis Boards? She looked at me funny and said, No, but I do look at Mousesavers a lot! I said, Oh, well, I saw you were all in lime green and that is the color the Dis boards use to identify other posters. She just laughed and said, Nope, don't really look there! I thought...well, you should! You have all the right colors! Maybe we should all get the Home Depot Mouse Ears and put our screen names on them and wear those! Then we'll be sure!

Sounds like a plan, CrazyCunninghams ! Are the Home Depot Mickeys sturdy enough to poke a hole in, put a ribbon through and attach to a purse or backpack? If not, I'll find another way. Don't know if I can get the rest of my family to wear them - they think I'm nuts as it is! But we'll be there June 17-23, so will look for jimmiej and tithonia

Maybe we should all get the Home Depot Mouse Ears and put our screen names on them and wear those!

What a great idea! Hope someone sees my Aisling lime green Mickey head this July!
