Let's Talk Jibbitz!

Just returned from Disney on Monday and my DD and youngest DS were on a Jibbitz craze the whole time we were there. I would say we lost 6-8 of the Jibbitz that they purchased. When we first got there on 5/4 the Jibbitz were only $3.50 each but when we were at Blizzard Beach on Friday, May 11, they were $3.95 each. They were also $3.95 each at the Contemporary on May 14, so I'm thinking that they just raised the Jibbitz prices all over WDW.

I'm going to get them a regular pair of crocs and hope that their Jibbitz will stay in better than they seem to on the Disney crocs. It was a hard pill for them to swallow when they were paying $4 each and then the lost at least 6 of them in the parks!

The Jibbitz website has all the disney characters, but not the castle. I am guessing it is only available at WDW. I had to buy my DD4 a second pair of crocs so she could get Jibbitz. They do fall out of the Micky Head Crocs. I have heard on a few boards that some people super glue them into the shoe. A little to extreme for me. They have stayed in the regular crocs with no problems. Yes, I wear Jibbitz in my crocs too. I have crowns and am going to get Minni Mouse, Castle, and Princess ones too. My boys 7 and 9 also have crocs and Jibbitz. They are very excited about getting new ones.

If you need another pair of crocs check the budget board for codes. Dick's Sporting Goods carries smaller childrens sizes and ShoeBuy.com carries adult and larger kids sizes. I have used codes for both sites and not paid more then $16.00 (including shipping) for crocs.

I have also heard of people using a piece of duct tape behind the jibbitz to hold them into disney crocs.

Oh dear. Jibbitz thingies for crocs. I just ordered the mickey crocs for my dd and myself which should be coming any day. If you guys think the jibbitz thingies won't work too well with the mickey heads I guess I'll just have to buy a regular pair of crocs for myself and my dd and get the jibbitzes - I saw Sleeping Beauty which is my dd's absolute FAVORITEprincess: and I want the castle!!!:woohoo:

They aslo have an item called I believe a "bibbitz" or something like that to hold the jibbitz in place better in the Disney crocs. They also hold them facing the same direction on regular crocs. Saw them on Ebay- made by a mom and dad whose son lost his fave jibbitz at WDW! A godo idea for a little security!

I bought all my daughters jibbitz on ebay for less than $3.00 a piece. Some were knockoffs, some the real jibbitz. They both work fine. I surprised my daughter each morning with 2 Disney jibbitz during our trip. Actually, they were from Tinkerbell. Tinkerbell left her some pixie dust, a note, and 2 jibbitz each morning. My daughter was sooo excited to get up every morning to see what Tinkerbell had brought her. She would grab them, turn away from us so only she could see them first........ :tinker: :tink:

I love this idea! I do TinkerBell gifts, but I never thought of leaving the Jibbitz. Now the wheels are turning in my head...:rotfl:

If anyone can't wait for the castles...they have them on jewelryinabag.com for $7.

I'm going to wait as I want mine as a souvenir, but if you don't have a trip planned soon...

My handy dandy Dad came up with a great idea to hold the Jibbitz in my girls' Disney crocs....get an orange washer with a small hole in the middle, trace a quarter, cut the excess off the rubber washer, then insert the Jibbitz into the washer, and then finally push the whole washer into the Disney croc. VIOLA, they stay in place and don't move!

Can I just tell you how much I hate crocs!!!!!!

Anyway my Dad bought my DD3 pink ones for Valentines Day. Then my DH bought Princess jibbitz for DD. I said great like these cannot look worse. She has Ariel, Cinderella, Tinkerbell, Jasmine and Belle. Well Cinderella's head ripped off and my DD was so distraught. It broke my heart. I looked for that Cinderella for over a month. I just found it this past weekend. My daughter had a smile on her face like the Grinch when his heart grew.

I was in the hospital recently and my DD was so good for my parents I took her to the mall to get a present and guess what she wanted. Thats right . . . new Crocs. She picked out red ones with Mickey and Minnie on one foot and Donald and Daisy on the other. She will not walk unless the are all straight. Too funny!

So my Dad insisted I get a pair fo our upcoming trip. He made me try on the three kinds and walk through the store. (I felt like I was 8.) I have to admit they are really comfy. I settled on pink mary janes. I wear them around the house, when my feet are soar and to the park. I really wanted to hate them but I can't!!

They sell a kind of Jibbitz adaptor for Disney crocs on Ebay. They are 4 for 5.00. I'm going to pick some up for mine...I'll let you know how they work!!

When my DD7 found out about Disney crocs, of course she wanted a pair---but she already has two pair of name brand Crocs , and at the rate her feet grow, I was loathe to spend more money on these funny looking shoes! (I have a hideous purple pair of my own for around the house and yard...) That's when I discovered the Jibbitz, and specifically the DISNEY ones. I let her pick a few from e-Bay's selection, and she's thrilled....now we'll just move the Jibbitz to her new Crocs when it's time to get larger sizes, and Voila! happy kid, Disney decorated Crocs any tim/ any size......
final chapter-----I had to get some Jibbitz for myself, and fixed up my Purple People Eater clogs...and wear them all over town AND in Disney in 8 days!!!!~These things are addicting!! DD and I trade and exchange them depending on our mood....

Oh, and regarding the devastating LOSSES of Jibbitz and Jibbitz tops---after Jasmine went AWOL (just the heads are separating off the bases), I've started checking them after a day of wear, and have had to put a dot of superglue on most to keep the rubber from peeling apart...this, and telling DD that only MOMMIE can put them in and out (you have to PUSH on the backs, not PULL on the tops to get them out, especially in the children's shoes cuz the holes are tight!) we haven't lost any more! WHEW!

8 days 8 days 8 days!!!!!

I have Chocolate Mary Janes! LOVE THEM!
