I rode the new pirates of the caribbean ride last week and I noticed that they don't shoot the water up in the ship fighting scene anymore. Why would they take this out?

Are there any other cutbacks or scene changes that you feel don't make much sense?

Oh no I love that part. Are you sure it wasn't just temporarily disconnected?
I'm not sure how eliminating that saves any money, and it offsets other new improvements. :sad2:

Well I wrode it twice, once early in the week and once at the end of the week and both times it wasn't shooting water so I assumed they removed it, yet they still make the shooting noises. :confused3

They usually have it shooting water up once in awhile. Sometimes when I go it will be shoooting water other times it wont be doing anything.

The effect is still there...

I spoke to a CM @PotC and they said it was a sensor / programming problem and should be resolved in the near future.

Last time I was on PotC (2004), the skeleton at the beginning, just before the small drop, didn't move his arm over his chest the way he used to as he said "Dead men tell no tales". It was sort of like he was waving you on. Have they stopped that or maybe it just wasn't working that day?

I also noticed that the pirate in jail whistling for the dog with the key, his mouth doesn't move anymore. :sad2:

Maybe they're on strike, they want a raise seeing how much the movie raked in. They want a piece of the action. pirate:

Has nobody noticed that the dog in the jail scene seems to be a completely different dog OR refurbished and "dirtied" up a little?

:rotfl: Is it the same dog that plays Toto in the Great Movie Ride? I call that dog "Smokey" cuz it looks like it's been zapped by lightning. :rotfl:

Someone on here had a before and after picture that showed the changes to the dog. It really is a big difference.

I don't think I've ever seen this. I never remember the skeleton's hand gesturing.

Toward the end - the man who is sitting above you (on the bridge w/ his foot hanging down toward you) doesn't rock his lower leg back & forth anymore.

We were there last week of August & also missed out on the water shooting up near the boats!

The water cannons were working again today.

The Skelatons in the cove before the drop (on your left), are static and do not (nor have they ever) move. The animals (crabs, seagulls, etc) are animated and move to add a little to that scene. The next Skelaton is chained to the wheel in Hurricane Lagoon, he and the wheel are animated. The old Skull & Crossbones (The Jolly Roger) that warned you about the drop was removed in this (2006) rehab.
