Lets talk about 2025!

We have a big first Disney cruise planned for March and that was going to be our only Disney for 2025.

Then PTN was teased and the whole 70th anniversary dawned on me.

So hubby has agreed that he and I will do an adults trip in 2025 and will decide when to go based on when PTN will be happening.

So let's chat about it!

What are our guesses for dates? Is this like DisneyWorld 50th that happened for what- 18 months? Is this more like a Pixar fest situation through the summer... which fireworks show will play?

If it's going to be this summer when do you think are the best dates to go? Our anniversary is 6/26 (that was not intentional but I do enjoy that it's 626 day..)..

Also side question- what is your favorite on the cheap harbor hotel. I did castle inn in May.. meh. We've done anahiem hotel...fine for sleeping, but had a weird smell. Any recent dessert inn stays? They have a military discount.

When PTN was teased, Philander, posted that there was more to come. Personally, I'm hoping for Paint the Night in DCA and the Main Street Electric Parade in Disneyland.

Disneyland's 70th is in July. Halloween starts in August. My guess is that we will be celebrating Disneyland's 70th from mid January to mid August.

Disneyland likes to start their anniversary celebrations in May. If I remember the 50th was May 2005 - December 2006. I think the 60th was the same. So my guess is that the 70th, will be the same May 2025- December 2026.

I’m March for DL and hoping PTN will be going by then. Seems odd to tease a parade now if it won’t start until July (but that would be the absolute latest to align with the anniversary). I bet it will be ready by President’s Day in February (but maybe I am too optimistic), and it’s the switch out after the Christmas parade. Could even hit during Christmas if they have it at DCA, but I don’t really see the point in that. If they can’t make it by Spring Break or Easter, then it should 100% be ready by Memorial Day, but I don’t think it will take that long.

I think they want it as soon as possible and to have good news after the price increases and bad press from LLPP. Not much else after Tiana for a while!

Also praying that Small World is online by mid-March!

Personally, I'm hoping for Paint the Night in DCA and the Main Street Electric Parade in Disneyland.

I’m hoping for this as well! I really want to celebrate the 70th anniversary of DL with the MSEP at DL, and the can run Paint the Night at DCA.

We’ve steadfastly refused to get Magic Key passes because of the reservation requirements, but with the 70th anniversary coming up, I might cave for 2025.

I hope I'm wrong but my guess is sometime in April until August and then end the year with the normal holiday stuff

They started selling 70th merch at D23 in August. The parks had the merchandise the following week.

Also side question- what is your favorite on the cheap harbor hotel. I did castle inn in May.. meh. We've done anahiem hotel...fine for sleeping, but had a weird smell. Any recent dessert inn stays? They have a military discount.

I haven't stayed very recently, but that was always our go-to because of (a) great proximity, (b) mutliple beds/rooms (we were a family of 5), and (c) price. I always thought it was a great option. They do have a free breakfast though it's pretty basic.

I’ve stayed at Desert Inn many times and never had any problems, including my trip in May and upcoming in December. For the prices you can’t beat it. Wish breakfast was a little sooner I believe it doesn’t open until 7 am but it is very basic and minimal but doable.

We less than 30 days from the beginning of the Holiday Season at Disneyland and the parade times have yet to be released on the Disneyland website. Any idea of what the times will be? What were they last year?

I haven't stayed at the Desert Inn since 2018. But it was mostly acceptable. My only complaint is that the elevator was slow and kind of creepy. We had to valet our car, when I just prefer to self park. And we could hear loud music from a hotel down the block. I liked the size/price of the parlor suite.

The other place we've stayed on Harbor was Park Vue and I preferred that due to proximity to the crosswalk. And it seemed quieter, which is a biggie for me.

I'd like the celebration to be 18 months long!

My guess is Paint the night will start this spring sometime between February-April but I have nothing to base that on.

We've gone in summer multiple times and I like mid-late June, so that could fit with your anniversary. You'd have to watch for Grad nites, though.

I like BW Plus Anaheim Inn, but I'm not sure it qualifies as cheap. I think it was $278 when we went last time for a 2 queen room. They have a great hot breakfast, though, and it's a 2 minute walk to the Disneyland entrance on Harbor. Really good customer service, too.

We're supposed to go in November next year so I really hope PTN is still there!

We will be there mid March 2025 so while I'm excited for Food and Wine at DCA, I have a feeling we are going to miss all the 70th birthday celebrations and I bet PTN won't open until closer to summer. I mean, I could be completely off base but we were lucky enough to celebrate the 60th twice, first time was Sept 2015 and it had been running since earlier in the summer then again in August 2016 right before it ended. Unfortunately due to school schedules and other commitments we can only go at our spring break time for 2025.

I don't have any current plans, but I *just* renewed my Inspire pass so I feel like I ought to go every day with the way the price keeps going up, LOL. Of course, that would be a bit difficult since I'm over 500 miles away.

I am hoping to go in late Jan as that's when my birthday is. That's always a tough thing to pull off right after the holidays but maybe a quick flight down and back and a 1-night stay if I can get a cheap place.

I'm also hoping my friends will invite me again this year to a Star Wars event in the spring. That was super fun and I didn't have to do the planning!

I usually go for DL's birthday but we (DH, me, and 3 DDs) are going to Greece in June-July.

For the most part, I imagine I'll go for short trips here and there and squeeze in as many as I can.

I would assume so. Summer normally gets nighttime entertainment daily
