See that's what I've noticed.

Most JB lovers are in the tween/young teen/9 & 10 year old stage.
And to think they're supposed to be marketed torwards the older teens.
Come on!

actually i'm 15, almost 16, and i know a lot of fans the same age and older than me so all their fans are not pre-teen/tween/9-10 range. Actually majority of their fan base is older

Really,most of the fan base is older.
Wow,because from what I hear and see from the concerts televised on TV,I don't see any 16/17/18 year olds standing in the crowd,bopping their head and singing along.

I know everyone has different opinions, but I just can't grasp the fact that people my age like the Jonas Brothers, or Disney Channel in general.

The shows have such cliche plots and bad acting and the music is just so pophappywonderfulfeelingletssingabouthappiness.

umm...which concert were u watching? Cause the album release party which was on disney in October, that i was at, had all older fans except for maybe idk 20 ppl. If ur talking about the DC Games concert that dosen't count b/c thats not a real Jonas Brothers concert. Even last night when i was walking out of the concert my mom said that there was a lot more 16/17/18 and older there then she thought would be.

Miley Cyrus does not belong at the Oscars. She is a 15 year old tween pop singer, not an experienced actor. She doesn't deserve to attend the Oscars, I don't care who her daddy is.

If she wants to make it in the singing business, she needs to do it by herself and not with her dad's help. Which clearly she is getting a lot of.

IMO, the only reason she's singing or acting is to follow in her dad's footsteps. But the problem is, she's not that good at it. At all.

Sonya and Jenny, I hate to burst your bubble, but we've watched those shows, now in college!!! Its not because we actually LIKE them, but more for conversation.

BTW off topic, but my friend and I watched mulan last night, and we were laughing soooo hard. The older you get, the sillier the disney movies become. lol

Well, basically... Disney makes money off Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus, and Disney owns ABC. The Oscars were broadcast on ABC, and Disney could invite Ms. Cyrus to present an Oscar with no trouble at all. So Disney probably reasoned that they might get a bit of money out of tweens turning into the Oscars to see Hannah Montana present an award which they wouldn't care about otherwise, so Miley Cyrus was asked to be a presenter.

That's my take on things, anyway.

There are lots of people on here that like them. They have a fan thread.

But, I don't.
I think they're untalented, and I think that they're the epitome of Disney's selling out... they're a cash machine for Disney.
Disney MADE them.
They cannot sing, in my opinion.
Their songs all sound the same to me.
Rooney, the band that OPENS for them, is 1000x the band they'll ever be.
...If they're weren't "cute," they would have never gotten famous.

Walt Disney would hate them.

But that's just MY opinion, and you're entitled to yours.
