Well, technically, today I have 31 days until Nikki and I are 'home,' but I have church tomorrow and no time to post!

Guess what came in the mail last week?????

Yeah, that's right!!!! Magical Express paperwork came in the mail along with Luggage tickets!! Woo-hoo!! We are official. Now, does anyone know when I will get the paperwork for the rest of the trip? I've been watching the mail, but nothing has come yet!

Currently, I'm working on some WDW books for Nikki and I. I might have Nikki's done today!

Reader question: What is your favorite thing to do at Animal Kingdom?

Mine would have to be Everest. AK isn't my favorite park, but EE makes it so much better. I've not seen the Nemo show, which I've heard is great. That is something I'm going to do this time. I just like EE best of all!!!!

Hello all! Yes, I know I missed the 20 day mark. So today's update. . .

17 days!!!!!!!!
I can hardly believe it!​

First of all, I've been dealing with some horrible things are work. Please keep me in your prayers.



Well, first, our paperwork came in the mail!! WOOT!

I do have a question for you all: in the paperwork came a photopass card. I've never seen this before. It says take it with me. Have any of you seen this?

On to the questions. . .

Where would you find this? And what is it?

So what thing do you look forward to the most when you go to Disney World? Anything at all!!

For me. . .

. . .it is that first walk up Main Street that lets you know you are home. I love the atmosphere and all the excitement! Nikki and I will be doing that on our first full day, I think. On our arrival day, we will probably just go to EPCOT first. We will see!

I can't believe we are down to the last 10 days and with single digits right around the corner! I'm very excited! I've been dealing with some things at my job, so this trip will be a welcomed break and good time!!

Yes, that's correct. . .8 days! Woo-hoo!

First, how cool is this: Nikki's mom LOVES Disney. She has really been interested in our trip. She would love to go with us. She ordered matching Mickey Necklaces for Nikki and I to wear! She gave it to me at church yesterday! Check it out!

Ok, yesterday I promised to post some pictures of our Disney Folders. They are heavy plastic folders, each page has a small envelope type pocket and large pocket. The little pockets are great for receipts and small memorabilia. The larger pockets are great for maps, menus, flyers, etc. I made one of these for my '08 trip, and it was indispensable. The green on is Nikki and the blue one is mine!!

Yep, we are one week out from our departure date. Things at my work have not changed! However, Disney can cure anything, so, I know this trip is just what the doctor ordere!

News from the planning front (my house): not too much. I worked on creating shirts yesterday. The ones I worked on were Disney-per say, but, at least one, might be worn during the trip. (I don't want to include too many details as some of the shirts are a surprise for Nikki. She knows I'm doing them, but she doesn't know all the details!!! Hee hee! Sorry, Nik!) Anyway, one was a failure and one worked great. Just have to redo the failure one. No biggie- that was my first, and I bought an extra shirt, just in case! I'm going to work on other shirts today!

No other news, so that means it is time for today's question!

Hello!....Yes, I said Packing Panic and 6 days!!

Packing panic: I have decided to bring my Flip Video camera to Disney to take videos. I've never been able to do this before. However, that camera only holds 2 hours of video, so naturally, I will have to download it daily in order to get the whole trip. This requires a laptop. I'm borrowing my dad's. Ok, so I have to carry that on the plane. I'm also taking my Nikon DSL in it's backpack case, so I have to carry that on, too. I still need to pack a few things, so I have some clothes, etc if my luggage is delayed (like my trip in '08). Ok, so DH suggests I put my camera bag in my checked luggage. Umm. . no- I need my camera for every single moment of WDW! In my head, I'm rearranging the items I'm taking to see how I can pack them! Yes, I know, I'm a freak. Nikki says I'm worrying too much. OK, ok! Packing panic over. . I'll just figure it out as I go! PHew. . crisis averted! I'm so pathetic!

Other than that, we have 6 days left! I have nearly completed the shirts. I post a pic when they are done. Today, I purchased the last item to complete my costume. I'd like to add another detail or two to my costume, but they aren't that important. What I have will work!! So, I'm all ready for MNSSHP. I'll post pics of that later, too.

No cool post today. . .I really don't feel like it. I was just terminated from my job. How can I enjoy our trip? I'm certainly going to try. Who can't be happy at WDW??

Hello! I'm back. I'm still pretty upset about losing my job and all the . . .er. . .stuff. . .that has accompanied it. However, I know that Disney is 4 days away, and going to my happiest of happy places is the best thing I can do for myself right now!!

I did, briefly, think about adding a day to our trip, but I figured that wasn't wise consider the predicament I'm in. So, no changes to the trip.

However, I did finish the shirts and the majority of my costume. Look and see. . .

The small shirts on top are Nikki's. "poof" is an inside joke for those of us who know Nikki. She chose Wall-E when I asked what one Disney character she would like on a shirt. The bottom two shirts are mine. I figured I would wear my Eve shirt when Nikki wears her Wall-E shirt. I LOVE Belle (as apparent by my screen name!), so I had to make a shirt with Belle on it. I didn't want a typical belle with the yellow dress, and when I saw this picture, I knew it was perfect!

Below is a picture of my costume for MNSSHP. I made the shirt- it says Derby Girl. I plan to wear some black shoes with some fake 'wheels' on them, so I don't have to wear roller skates all night. (If you don't know, I am obsessed with Roller Derby since I saw the movie Whip It! I get to go see a game tomorrow, and I hope to be a derby girl soon!)- - please disregard the stupid face I'm making. . .I was trying to look tough and suck in my. . .er. . .extra padding- you know, the natural kind.

Now, on to the questions for yesterday and today!

5 days remaining- What building at All-Star Music do you most hope we get a room in?

Nikki: I'm not really sure. To be honest, NOT COUNTRY!!!

Kristin: Duh. . .Beauty and the Beast on Broadway.

4-days-remaining- What is your favorite park icon?

Nikki: EPCOT ball

Kristin: Cinderella Castle (with the EPCOT ball a close second!)

Ok. . .that about wraps it up for today. Only 4 more days, and then, I get to leave it all behind and go to the best place in the world!

Three dancing bananas (if they actually dance) for three days left!

Nothing new in our plans. However, Nikki and I won't see each other on Monday, and we are trying to figure out how I will get her printed boarding pass to her, so she can check in Tuesday morning. DH wants to drive me to the airport to say good-bye, and Nikki's good friend wants to take her and say good-bye. . .Men. . .geesh. . .so emotional! Anyway, we'll get that figured out soon!

It is so crazy to think we are nearly there!!! Nikki says she has most everything packed except for a few last minute things. Me? Ha! I have a pile in my art room of things I'm taking, but I'm no where near packed. Tomorrow I guess since I no long have a job to go to. That gives me lots of time to pack!

Disney World. . . here we come!
