But we've already purchased and linked our 10 day no exp park hoppers. With the new magic band/MDE jazz, can we get the AP as well and save the park tickets?

As far as I know you can't unlink a ticket from your ME account once it's been linked. On our trip in december my father arrived on a day ahead of us. He had a 5 day park hopper linked to his band. He also had two old tickets from. The 90s with a day left on each of them. He e changed those for New single day park hoppers. Instead of using the 5 day he never used the band to enter the park... He skipped the first day, used the single day tickets for entry Saturday and Monday..... And since we had MVMCP tickets he just met us in the park at 4 on Sunday. Once he entered the park.... We would then link the single day tickets to his MDE so we could link fastpass +.

I'm not a ticket master, but this doesn't sound right. You should be able to unlink tickets online. I think I did this on accident before. Maybe if is different if you buy a package, but this cannot be correct for separate tickets.

Is there any reason to not upgrade your tickets? You should be able to do this at the gate.

Nope, you can't unlink...but you can have them make the ticket you want to use as primary. I have unused non expiring ticket which is linked and has 6 days left and bought a 10 day expiring ticket....the tech rep said if they remove the non expiring ticket that it will result in canceling out those 6 days. I've check three different times with the same answer. SO they tell ME to check and make sure that the MB is using the expiring ticket and NOT the non expiring. They THINK it will be OK. :confused3.

I'd actually rather keep the 10 day non-exp. and just get an AP too... we already paid for the non-exp. tickets and the price isn't going down :)

Interesting... so it is possible. I wonder if this can be done/seen on MDE?

Wow that seems broken on every level?????

:scared:

So you just link others.. and hope to Goodness the computer takes the right tickets.. so you can use the others later.. or once linked that is it .. they are active right then and there, and that is it...?

I do not understand why someone programed this to be difficult. I emailed Disney guest service yesterday on a similar IMO less broken, but still broken issue..

I am having my own troubles.. with wanting FP+ and wanting to buy APs with gift cards.. which I can apparently not mix.. :sad2: I can only get FP + at the park, after I buy the tickets, and I cannot use more than 2 forms of payment before arriving.. (2 gift cards, and all of mine or 50$gift cards). .. honestly if it is not fixed, and Disney cannot find a magical solution, to such an easy "problem", I am just going to resort it and skip the parks. It will save me 1500$ and I will skip June's trip, which I back and forth on anyway.

I hope you get it fixed.

You CAN use more GCs to buy APs, you just have to get to the right department. If only I could remember the department's name, but it was mentioned a few times a few weeks back. A quick google makes me think that MS needs to transfer you to the ticketing department. Just make sure you're calling during East Coast business hours.

I read that a Disney Store can combine gift cards now. I haven't tried it, but perhaps an option for you sweetdana.

I am going to check back on my records from October. I have a few old tickets linked to my disney experience and an annual pass. all my admissions to the parks in October were to my annual pass. So I think you can do this.

I went into my account, it has three tickets listed plus my annual pass. The tickets are listed as not in use. Only my annual pass shows active. It stays, "This card cannot be used while deactivated. You may activate it at any time." on the tickets.

Good Luck and have a great time.:thumbsup2

I purchased a free dining package for February and the 2 day base tix are linked to each person. We also have annual passes which are linked to each person. I only see old kttw cards that I am able to deactivate. None of those cards had tix attached. Does anyone know how to deactivate the base tix? My renewal is is august and I have always applied the base tix to my ap renewal.

I obviously do not need the base tix now when I have an active AP. Has anyone else encountered this?

I had to call to indicate which of my tickets I wanted to use. They still told me to check each day to see what ticket was used.

Call to designate the which ticket...then they recommended that I check with the CM at the entrance each day to confirm which ticket was used for entrance. You cannot remove a ticket once it's been put on your MDE as they claim that will void it!

Who do you call? I have a band from October with my NE ticket on it. Wondering how we use the old bands for our spring trip...will we need new bands or can I link the old ones to the new reservation?

Technology department...main Disney phone number...but any Disney number will transfer you...good luck...call early cause the wait is very long
