Nope, never. Last trip was with my adult (I use that word loosely) daughter and two of her friends and we weren't really focused on characters, but I still got a photo with (and a kiss from) Mickey in DCA. We saw him walk out and just walked right up.

TNP only visits characters at character meals or scheduled meet and greets.
