I am stuck at home because of the ice so I have been researching restaurants that are family friendly and reasonably priced close to WDW. I have used the search here on the dis but didn't come up with a list anywhere. Here is what I have so far:

At the Crossroads: Not sure if they are still all there?
CiCi Pizza
Chevy's
Domino's
Denny's
House of Blues - coupon at Restaurant.com
Sweet Tomatoes - sign up for coupons
Perkins
There is also a Carrabbias on that street.
Bahama Breeze just a bit further down.

On 535:
Buffalo Wild Wings
Waffle House

On Apopka/ Vineland
Steak and Shake (kids eat free with adult meal on weekends)
Sizzler Steak House (also 2 on International north and south)
Golden Corral

West Irlo Bronson Hwy in Kissimmee
Giordiana's pizzeria - coupon at restaurant.com

West Highway 192, Kissimmee
Pondarosa
Bob Evans

192 East of Sherberth - the back way out of Animal Kingdom
I-HOP
Friday's
Carrabba's

192, across from the entrance to Celebration.. at the intersection of 192 and International drive South..
Logan's Roadhouse - sign up for coupons - Allergy alert Peanuts on floor

International Drive
Don Pabloes

International Drive near the Orlando Convention Center
Miller's Ale House

Winter Park /Vineland Road
Orlando Ale House - sign up for e-mail list

Mall at Millenia
PF Changs
Cheesecake Factory
CPK
Panera Bread Co - Sign up for the card for a free sweet.

What else is there?

I think there used to be a Ponderosa not that far from Disney and a Waffle House too (just not sure which road). I am pretty sure there is a Sizzler and a Golden Corral.

House of Blues

Especially if you buy a gift certificate from restaurant.com first! :goodvibes I got one to the one in Myrtle Beach yesterday that is a $25 gift certificate for less than $5. The one in Orlando is also on www.restaurant.com. I used the code TREAT for 50% off (expires today) and then went through a cash back website that gives 10% back :thumbsup2. The gift certificates don't expire either.

Is there a way to know if the certificate will expire? Also when it says you have to spend $35 is that $35 more than the certificate? Like the bill would have to be $60? Or the bill would just need to be $35? This could be a very good deal! Thanks for posting it!

With Restaurant.com it's usually the total bill needs to be $35 (or whatever they state). So you spend $35, use the $25 gc and pay $10 +tax and tip out of pocket.

Very good deals!

The one I printed yesterday says the following:

"this restaurant gift certificate does not expire. Your bill has to at least be $35; 18% Gratuity added prior to discount. You can only redeem one gift certificate, per party, per month, per restaurant, even if the party is seated at separate tables and/or receives more than one check. Not valid for taxes, tips, merchandise or prior balances."

Some of the gift certificates on the website can only be used Sun-Thurs but the House of Blues ones don't have that restriction. I bought one for the Orlando one today to use for our trip in December.

We always eat at the Golden Corral that is a cross from the entrance to Celebration. It seems to be the better of the 7 Corrals that are in the area...

I don't know if they would technically be considered a "budget" restaurant, but we've eaten at the Orlando Ale House near DTD a couple of times. The price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get.

The food is good too. You can also get coupons for this restaurant if you join their email list.

We love it here!!! We always schedule it into our week...will have to sign up for their email list. THanks!

You will find a lot of off site restaurant threads buried in the Orlando hotels/attractions board. Try searching that board for more ideas! :thumbsup2

Is House of Blues kid friendly or just adults? Do they have a kids' menu? I'm curious if I should get the $25 or the $50 gift certificate for my family of 5. Thanks!

Our new fav is Don Pablos on International drive, closer to sea world. Definitelfy worth the trip. check their website for daily specials. I think Tuesday is all you can eat tacos for something crazy like $6.99.

And of course I get a coupon code emailed to me today for 70% off :headache:. It's HEART for anyone who wants to use it.

There is a Perkins at the crossroads and did anyone mention the Giordiana's pizzeria on the next block.

There is also a Carrabbias on that street. Maybe not budget but it's cheaper than Mama Melrose and Tony's town square with pretty much the same food.
