Lets just say: may 2 mine train opening

Let's just say the the mine train does have it's official opening May 2. Do they do anything cool and exciting for it? We fly out May 2nd but have the morning to do whatever we want. We were planning on just doing DTD because we don't have tickets for that day. Would it be worth adding on an extra day to see this or will the crowds not be worth it? I would just add on an extra day while we are there since so far there isn't anything official. Just thought I would ask here!

May 2nd 10:15am is the grand opening celebration I wouldn't go right away once it opens there is going to be a mad rush and crowds. I would wait either go in the night or the next day.

Probably good advice but the OP is flying out later that same day so... I'd say "go for it". If it is the end of your trip and you don't feel you need to do anything else at MK why not get there at rope drop and hot foot it to Mine Cars. Then report back to us! I'll be there May 5-10 trying to get on it too.

ME picks up about 3 hours prior / 4 hrs for international flights. So your pick up will be about 12:05. Could be close because you need to allow an approx hour to get back to your resort.

Was there something published stating 5/2 at 10:15am? Just curious where the info came from.
