Alright, we all know...this most likely wouldn't happen. But, I'd love to see a few food chains offered for convenience at Disney. What would your top picks be?

Mine:

Chick-fil-A
Alterra Coffee
Taco Bueno
Krispe Kreme Donuts
Sonic

Hmmm, heres hoping. :)

Why would you want them there? I am thrilled they are not in Disney. Enough of the crappy chains nearby on 192 or International Drive.
I like to arrive and escape from the every day when at Disney.

I don't want them either. I think it would take away from what Disney tries to do with theming. Think about the counter service restaurants. Every one has a theme that fits with its location. A chain restaurant wouldn't agree to change their "look" to fit a Disney theme.

I too love authentic Disney restaurants/food but the place could use a decent coffee place i.e. Dunkin' Donuts or Starbucks. :lmao:

I'm pretty sure the Hess stations on WDW property have Krispy Kreme Donuts. I usually grab one of those for breakfast when I'm heading to MK. It's quite convenient. I do think a lot of the food at WDW is repetitive. Especially at the CS restaurants. Maybe a MOE's would be nice. I just love chips and queso or salsa. I know there is one taco place in MK that seems really awesome but it's never open when I am there (I tend to avoid the busier times of year). and the stand in EPCOT just doesn't have enough options and they give you a hard time if you want something left off your tacos.

I also go to WDW for a change in dining. I think all I would want to see is a starbucks but thats it..

I have to admit that I have a soft spot for Chick-Fil-A! ;) We usually stop and eat there coming from the airport. There's a Chick-Fil-A right on Orange Blossom Trail.... love their shakes... :goodvibes

The one thing I love about Disney is No Chain's

Although DTD does have chains.

Chik-Fil-A would never fly (no pun intended) at Disney World. The entire chain is closed on Sundays.

No chains for us either, you can get chain food off property.

I would like to see Disney improve the quick/snack food options and regular restaurant options. Also for them to put back all the good stuff they used to have, lol.

I agree 100%. :thumbsup2

As for Krispy Kreme, those gacky little things replaced real donuts at WDW more than five years ago. We still mourn the loss of real bakery donuts made fresh daily at the Boardwalk Bakery.

Starbucks is at Universal...bet you won't see them at Disney.

The Swan/Dolphin do sell Starbucks coffee at their food service outlets.

Nope - I don't want any chains, especially fast food chains - I hated that McDonalds was in the parks.

DTD should have a Starbucks.

As for chains while there aren't any fast food chains, I think a lot of people don't realize there are chain restaurants on Disney property: Planet Hollywood, Shula's, Earl of Sandwich, Wolfgang Puck's, and Rainforest Cafe.

I guess we need to define "chain"--or at least what kind of chain. To add to what Flightless has already noted, I think Big River Grille is part of a chain. And ESPN. And Paridiso 37. And Todd English (Blue Zoo) also has a chain of restaurants. And even Il Mulino might be considered a chain (there's one in NYC).

Didn't know about Big River Grille and Paridiso 37. Can't believe I forgot ESPNZone.

As for Todd English, I'm not sure that really counts. Emeril and Bobby Flay both have several restaurants, as well, but each one serves different food. I'm assuming that's the same with BlueZoo.

Also not sure I would count Il Mulino, either. If that counts, than so does T-Rex and Raglan Road (both have another restaurant elsewhere).

They would be teeny-tiny 2-link chains:)

But you made a good original point--there certainly are chains at WDW right now.
More like those? Maybe.
More like Chick Fil-A etc? I think not.

Plus Yak & Yeti and T-Rex are both owned by Landry's Restaurant Group, which also owns Rainforest Cafe.
