Lets go Steelers!!!!!!!!!!

of all the teams in the NFL -PITTSBURGH is the one that deals with the most. the announcers all root against them, the officiating always goes against them, but we prevail and now are THE WORLD CHAMPIONS... :thumbsup2

I can't believe what whiners the Seahawks are being. We won, get used to it! Neither team played the greatest game, but the ball definitely crossed the goal line before Roethlisberger's knee was down. It was a good call. There were some other borderline calls, but it was just the officials trying to prevent a pattern of holds and pass interference. And, hey, no push-off in the end zone is tolerated. It's always called. Buncha big babies. Unbelievable! The only stand-out plays were the run by Parker and the throw by Randel El. I'm not so sure he shouldn't have been the MVP.

So, here I sit in my Superbowl hat, wondering-- who else is going to the parade tomorrow?

EXACTLY!!!! All I hear is a whole lotta whining going on in this thread. If you don't like it, sorry, they're not reversing it because you complain! Last time I checked you can overcome bad calls and win the game if you're a solid team.

::yes::

Please give a report when you return. I wish I could be there.

I will! Can't wait! Having grown up near Cincinnati, I've never been to a Superbowl victory celebration.

Even if the touchdown had been called back we still win by 8 (because Reed would have kicked a field goal). They really should get over it.

I'm hoping to be at the parade tomorrow. The Pep Rally was a blast I'm sure this will even be better. :thumbsup2

Congratulations everyone!!!!

(oh, and my life lesson - if you care about the game, don't have a big party. Waaaaaay too many distractions with the betting, the food, the kids, the trivial conversations, ugh! I feel like I've been run over by a truck and honestly, I wish it had just been me and dh and some popcorn.)

Can't complan! They won and I'm so Happy Hines got MVP!!!

I'll be there! Our high school marching band is leading the parade - our uniforms are black and gold, so it's a natural! So I'll be cheering not only the Steelers, but the Gateway High School Marching Band and my DS16!!

WAY TO GO STEELERS! :woohoo:

I heard on the radio that Big Ben will be shaving his beard on Letterman this week. It's about time.

I felt kinda bad for Chris Hope asking the Rooney's to give him a decent contract so he can stay in Pittsburgh last night. I think he's worth keeping around, so I hope the show him the money. I didn't think Polamalu had the greatest game last night or Roethlisberger or Bettis. It's nice to know that other guys can step up and make the big plays when needed. The players have all done well in different games, so they are all MVP's, in my book. Thanks guys- for a great couple of months! It's been so much fun to be a Pittsbugher- or close to it!

If you go to the parade, please post some pictures! Thanks!

I'll look for your band. I think I'll stand near Point State Park, at the end.

Name calling, got to love it. We may disagree but at least the pro-Seattle people were keeping it to the game and officials.

Congratulations to all the Steelers fans from the other side of the pond! My 'first' team is the 49ers but I've always had a soft spot for the Steelers and especially the Bus! My favourite speedway team (motorbike racing) here in the UK wears Gold and Black so that's a good reason to like the Steelers!

As I say, well done and enjoy your celebrations!!!!! :cool1: :yay: :bounce: :woohoo: :cheer2: :thumbsup2

I haven't read all the posts, but I really like the Steelers and I have to say

HOW 'BOUT THAT DAWG!!!

Hines Ward is a former BULLDAWG and the BULLDAWG NATION is very proud of our DAWG.

Congrats Steelers fans!

Did Holmgren ever shake Cowher's hand? It looked like Cowher was coming out to meet him and he just walked away, but I'm sure an NFL coach wouldn't be such a bad sport.

HERE WE GOT STEELERS, HERE WE GO!!!!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: I really needed this thread this morning, I live in Cincy and work with some
VERY bitter Bengals fans, all I've heard lately is how overrated the Steelers are. All I have to say is the Steelers are wearing the ring and that's all that matters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: I guess the Fan Club will have to change the words to "Here We Got Steelers"! Roughly 6 more months until the hoopla starts again, I can hardly wait.

They did shake hands. I don't think it got shown on television though. Sports Illustrated said they even hugged. Mike Holgrem isn't a sore looser to another coach.

How much is coach Hope making. Our Packer coach Mike Sherman just got fired and he will still make 5 million for the next 2 years.

for someone who started a anti steelers thread you are certainly spending time posting on the ANTI steelers thread you started cuz you didnt wanna debate
give it up you cant have it both ways, telling those whose opinion is different than your to go to a different thread and then following them there and complaining about their opinion :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

No, i don't believe he did. Cowher met his family and then looked around, we all assumed looking for Holmgren, but he never came out. I surely would hope a professional like that wouldn't ignore the winning coach. Come to think of it, none of the opposing players met up, they would have showed it. I have a feeling we'll be hearing more on that subject as the days go on.
Anyone going down to meet them today at the airport? At first they said don't go to the airport but now they're saying it's ok and telling you where to park! They know they can't keep the fans away! I want to see that trophy in person eventually!

Yes we will, but I doubt will see anybody apologizing for assuming Holmgren is a poor sport. The cameras don't catch evverything.
