I could hardly sleep last night I was so happy.....

I did the opposite. I didn't get to sleep until 2AM. I watched ESPN and the NFL network over and over and over. I slept hard and I woke up with a smile on my face b/c we're the champs.
:teeth: :thumbsup2 :cool1:  :cheer2: :woohoo:

From a Green Bay Packer Fan-Congradulations.

Take your kids out of school and go to the celebration. It really is a once in a life-time experience. My daughter when she was 14 made the Celebration Book at Lambeau Field-high fiving Reggie White when he went around the whole stadium shaking people's hands. That picture is priceless.

Here's what referee Bill Leavy's crew did, point blank: It robbed Seattle. The Seahawks could have played better, sure. They could have done more to overcome the poor officiating. We understand that those things happen and all, but even with all the points Seattle left on the field, there's a good chance the Seahawks would have scored more than the Steelers if the officials had let the players play.

Bill Leavy, the true Super Bowl XL MVP.

You really might want to buy yourself one of those play books before you watch your next game. Someone who obviously knows so little about the game really seems to be pretty passionate about the ending. You need to give it a rest!

Funny how some of the best sports writers in the country are coming to the same conclusions that I did :scratchin

Add Michaels and Madden who couldn't help but to notice the official's bias when the Hawks were incorrectly flagged.

It's one thing for there to be one bad call, but between the calls against Seattle and non-calls against the Steelers, you get into the double digits.

The pass from Randal-El to Ward was awesome. Every other score involved help by the officials.

Yes, there were some bad calls. Some only seem to be bad because of what team you rooted for. But these two teams earned their place in the Superbowl and one played better than the other and ultimately won the game. The officials did not change the outcome. And anyone who thinks they did is insulting BOTH teams - not just the winners.

Congrats to the Steelers and their fans. Enjoy your victory.

Usually not, but in this case it's not just the calls, it's the amount of them and when they came.

yeh they came at bad times during the playoff games too but the steelers overcame those calls and went on to win anyways. Everybody forgets the fact that we were the 6th seed team, wildcard, yet..won ALL AWAY playoff games even though some calls against us were bogus, we came out on top. i truly believe the steelers wanted this more, played their hearts out. Ben overcame his nervous first half (understandably, his first super bowl) and came back to help lead them to victory. I'm sorry non-steeler fans, this is way too sweet for you to sour it with your bitterness. We are ONE HAPPY STEELER NATION!!!!!

What's ironic is how many towel wavers would be up in arms had the Colts game gone the other way.

The difference between one bad call almost changing the game and multiple bad calls making it impossible to overcome.

You're darn tootin we would be up in arms! We know what thats like to be on the other side of those baaaaaad calls. Watch replays of the playoff games if you want to see multiple bad calls, but for the steelers NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE to overcome! It's not that the seahawks are a bad team, they're just not good enough to beat us! :smooth:

So what's the first thing you are ordering with the CHAMPIONSHIP logo?

I just spent a ton on 2 t-shirts, hat, new front license plate and magnet for the truck for when we go see the CHAMPS in Jax next season!

Umm, I hate to point this out but in the Colts game we had to overcome THREE bad calls. Yes, thats right, THREE. That would be the pass interference w/ Randle El, the hideous do over play when clearly the Colts went offsides and of course the infamous play with Palamalou (that the NFL apologized for ). We overcame and won, don't really want to hear about it being impossible, its not. Have a great day!

EXACTLY!!!! All I hear is a whole lotta whining going on in this thread. If you don't like it, sorry, they're not reversing it because you complain! Last time I checked you can overcome bad calls and win the game if you're a solid team.

We are trying to get tickets to that game as well. I think I have a hook with a Jax season ticket holder. Woo hoo! :cool1:

As for the call issues, they happen in all games. Sometimes they go in your favor and sometimes you have to overcome them.
