*** Bay Lake Tower Owners Group***

Same. Sight unseen.
I’m not a big fan of the tower style in general, and I’m going to get a theme park view in a couple weeks, so that may make it feel more worthy, but for the most part I will likely use my BLT points to trade into others at 7 months. Anyway… my SAP+ points.

Trading into a 1bdrm at OKW for 5-7 nights at the end of the year, and maybe trying stuff like CCV, VGF &/or Poly down the road. (CCV is most likely my next add on purchase)
Theme Park View is fantastic. We had a 2br theme park view week before Thanksgiving. Fireworks were super nice. You could see the lights on Main Street. Can't wait for our next trip. Going for Theme Park view again. Our first stay over looked Bay lake. That was really nice as well.

I noticed we have the same fav resorts, or spend time at the same ones (AKV, BWV, BLT)

My first stay was lake view and it was nice, but 12th floor was a little high for my taste. lol

I have a 2bdrm theme park view in a couple weeks and we plan to order Steakhouse 71 to-go, and eat dinner and watch fireworks on our final night.

This BLT addition completes our quest of having DVC resorts strategically positioned for easy access to all 4 parks and Disney Springs. It does not, however, complete our desire for More Points!🤣.
There is no cure for add-on-itis, and the envy of those in the 1000 Point Club😍

We never thought about Steakhouse 71 to go! What a fantastic Idea.

And Great Minds think alike! What's not to love with AKV, BWV, and BLT!

We bought BLT because of location and love it for everything else! And yes Add-on-itis is real. We just crossed into the comma club with our latest VGC purchase. I was not too strategic with our points and will probably do a bit os shuffling around. We have 250 points at Boardwalk and BLT, 208 at VGC and 150 at AK and VDH. We usually go for 2 weeks and stay in a 1 or 2 bedroom at WDW and 1 week at DLR. In the old days when we had just BWV we would bank and borrow to make it and go every other year or so. Now we go a couple of times a year. That makes 150 at AKV is a bit tight. We usually have to do split stays and our last one was a 3 way, AKV, BLT, and BWV. Worked out very well. Grandkids loved the different resorts, but really missed AKV.

The issue is too many home resorts with too few points at some. Most of our home resorts have limited availability at 7 months during the times we usually go. AKV usually has some availability at 7 months so I can use other points to flesh out a stay, so 150 might not be that tight. However VDH and VGC over here on the west coast has almost 0 availability at 7 months. That makes the 150 at VDH very tight. What we may do is sell VDH and add 100 points at AKV and 50 at VGC. That would make things easier to plan I think. Fewer split stays.

Problem is we love all of our home resorts. Giving up VDH means probably never being able to stay there again on points at least. Besides, having to pay the TOT at VDH really twists my undies.

I could just add on without giving anything up, but then the dues becomes a bigger expense. Great problems to have I know 🤣🤣. But life was simpler in the old days with just 250 BWV and you could snag almost anywhere at 7 months.

So you see AddOnItis is very real and strong, even once you pass into the comma club! We originally bought BWV in 1996 and always wanted more points. Started adding on 5 years ago. So you see, it is unfortunately a long term illness!

Good luck with your quest! Enjoy BLT now that you have it. It is a real underrated gem of a resort.
