Planning our Super Bowl menu as well. This is what we have so far...Nachos, Meatballs and Sausage, Wings, Huge lunch meat platter and some homemade salads. For Dessert a Football Steelers Cake...all this served, hopefully, on Steelers Paper Plates!! :thumbsup2

Speaking of ebay, i see there's an auction for denver vs. steeler tickets that ends TOMORROW? am i reading this right? 6599148364 UNREAL!

We already have black & gold streamers. I might have my mom mail us some Steelers plates/napkins from Pittsburgh, or I might run to Wal-Mart and buy up plain black and gold plates. We're getting some black and gold balloons.

We're debating on whether to do take out for the Superbowl or to have stuff I can make ahead here..........I don't want to be in the kitchen and miss any of the game! I don't want to miss the commercials, either! It'll be just the 4 of us, watching the game at home, sweet home. But, we'll be PARTYING--that's for sure!!!

Keep the Steeler machinery humming..................

 :dancer: :dancer:

We're gonna stay home, too. I'm throwing some hot sausage and kielbosa in a crock pot and buying munchies. I'm not missing a second of that game. :stir:

hee - hee...giggle...HA - HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To all the dis-believers over the last few months...

STEELER'S GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL :thumbsup2
The average Joe's are going to bring "One for the Thumb" - finally, home to the 'burg...may the Force be w/us :darth: :yoda: :chewy:

Whatever you choose for your menu make it easy! Everything I'm making is make ahead and going into the crock pot. I'm not slaving away in the kitchen while my husband and friends are partying!!

That's the key. I've found that as the wife and family cook, if I'm not careful....I wind up in the kitchen while the game is on.

You have to be careful that if your hubby invites his friends. If they bring their wives and kids, they must understand that if the wife isn't interested in football and sits in the kitchen bored, she will sit in the kitchen ALONE. Because I am not going to feel bad and get all "hostess like" and sit in the kitchen with her (made that mistake once...)

I'm not a fancy cook. I make nachos for games. I ground up the beef and put it in the crock pot to keep warm. I chop up the lettuce and tomatos. I make a cheese dip and put it in an electric fondue pot to keep it nice. And I let everyone pile up what they want on their chips. People bring wings, beer and whatever and we eat good. Everyone raves about my nachos.

This year I'll probably be working (at my job) right up to the Super Bowl, and we already got an invitation to a Super Bowl party so it won't be a problem this year.

I love that Bus phrase!

DH ordered the hat and t-shirt from NFLshop last night. Now I'm going to have to make another order and get that new Terrible Towel!

I was thinking mayyyybe we could swing it for DH to buy a ticket and go but HOLY COW at the prices!! :scared1: It's a shame, he's been a fan for 30+ years, I would love for him to go. I'd be jealous, but hey, I'd do it for him.

Just want to join in the dance of Steeler Pride :cool1: :yay: :yay: :lmao: :rotfl: :lovestruc :wave2: :hourglass Can't wait until KICK OFF in Detriot
Dicks Sporting Goods(Western PA area) opened at 8:30 this morning and will have new merchandise arriving all day.

Magalex :thumbsup2

Oh another fun area to buy Steelers mercandise is the Strip District in downtown Pittsburgh. On Saturday we drove thru and my 5 yr old DS thought it was a big Steelers party outside. Alot of vendors and Feinberg's Party Store  :goodvibes

Watch the merchandise prices if you order online. DICK's online hat is $29.99 but only 19.99 in the store, exact same hat. Didn't check the difference in t-shirts. These shirts were practically still warm from the presses when i got them lol!

DESTINY BABY!!!
:woohoo: :cheer2:  :cool1: :thumbsup2

This is truly the best feeling in the world. No matter how many people said we couldn't, said we wouldn't, and said we weren't good enough, WE SHOWED THEM!!!!!! On to the Superbowl and our one for the :thumbsup2 .

LOL, boy do I hear you all!

I'm not cooking anything on the grill, stiring anything on the stove, or waiting on anyone. Everything will be ready ahead of time and spread out on the table in the kitchen with a cooler of drinks and a trash can near by.

I can't tell you how many times we've had people over and all I did was fix, clean up or chat and I missed the whole reason for the get together.

I haven't missed a second of any game this season and I'm not going to start now!

Whew, that felt good to say all of that, LOL, Thanks!!!!

Go Hines Ward Baby!!!!

Do you know what I wish we could have shipped fresh to our house for the Superbowl? A Primantis Sandwich. That would be the perfect Superbowl food. Primantis and IC Light.

Dh is a teacher and is hoping that the day after the Superbowl will bring some snow or ice so he'll get the day off. He will be so full of energy that he won't be able to sleep a wink on Superbowl night! He went to work today with almost no voice from watching yesterday's game.

Those of you in Pittsburgh, run out and treat yourselves to a Primantis! Right now! There is reason to celebrate, you know....

Detroit, here we come!
