OK: in the UK we start nursery school at 3/4 and finish primary school at 11. Then we spend 5 years at secondary school(a bit like high school?! ) Then at 16 we are legally entitled to leave full time education and go and get a job. However, most people go to tertiary college for two years (PigSoldier and I are in the first year of college now. Next year we do BIG exams called A-levels) At eighteen we can go to university for 3 years and then we're out in the big wide world!
