Lets explore those food quirks a bit more..

oh, I have a lot of raw meat rules... LOL. And if my DH is cooking meat, I *always* nuke it after he cooks it, just to make sure...

Oh, boy do I agree about the meat. My DH likes his steak rare. I am a farm girl, I have seen how cows live in the barn and I wanted my meat cooked WELL. Cows are just nasty! :p

I totally agree.. I want my meat WELL done... My dh drives me crazy about the "pink" inside.. YUCK!!! I make sure mine and kids are well done...

I have a hard time eating steak with my brother. He likes to just introduce his steak to the grill and then he eats it. I swear its not even warm the whole way through. Ugh disgusting.

Does anyone remember that movie "The Cowboy Way" with Woody Harrelson & Kiefer Sutherland? Woody orders a steak and says something like, "Wipe its nasty ***, take its horns off and put it on the plate". That's pretty much how I like my steak!

I totally understand the "stuff someone else cooked" thing. I will eat food that people I REALLY know cooked, but I am always paranoid when kids bring stuff into work for us to "try". Just not sure about that!

and the story is...........................???????????????????????

You asked. *sigh* I told you it's sad though.

Okay, when I was just a baby.. 2, 3, 4 yrs old, my parents were going through separations up to the final divorce when I was 6. My mom kept taking my dad back. He was a very powerful person.. politician, head of a corporation, we were very well off - until. Until he started drinking all his meals.

He turned into a raving alcoholic. So much that his "taking his little girl out for the day for fun" when I was 2, 3 or 4 was taking me to whatever bar he frequented at that time, sitting me on the barstool next to him and feeding me the olives from his martinis. That, is how I acquired my love for olives. I didn't realize it at first until my brother who is 10 yrs older than me and accompanied us on some of these trips filled me in one time as he caught me eating olives like peanuts. Once he told me about it, the memories flooded back. It's true what they say about repressed memories.. the proper trigger will bring back quite a bit that your subconscious purposely hides. I wish I could say the above story was the worst it hid, but unfortunately, it's not.

So.. there is my sad story about my olive addiction.

wow Lauri there isn't really anything I can say to follow that

Your right it is a sad story :grouphug:

I have sooooo many. I can't have milk on cereal - ick! Actually I hate milk in general. When I eat skittles I tip them out onto the table, seperate into colour groups, then take one from each group and eat them as a group (occasionally putting 2 of a colour together if there is more of some colours so I end up with evenly numbered groups!)

I make sandwiches of plain crisps (erm - I think you call them chips) and hard cheese, then put them in the toaster so the cheese melts and the crisps get hot! I also mix tinned tuna and crumbly hard cheese and toast them! I eat tinned baby food - only creamed porridge (do you call it porridge?) and chocolate mousse though! Sometimes I dunk plain chips into cream cheese as a snack - yum!

Oh, and another one, I dunk ginger biscuits into orange soda!!! No idea how that started!

Yes Queenie our chips are your crisps and your chips are our fries, and Porridge is probably close to oatmeal.

I have to eat the skin off grapes before eating the grapes themselves.
I eat A-1 sauce on my potatoes but only mashed and semi mashed red potatoes.
I also eat cereal dry except for honey nut cherrios.
