Let's do the Time Warp again ;)

I have a thread about cleaning out our place & after a few decades it seems oddball things get tucked away in random spots, so I was wondering what sorts of oddball things other people have.

I submit my Time Warp item from some random folder in a forgotten cabinet:

It's in my head too and I am totally watching the movie soon, remember the midnight showings with everyone dressing up? Movie came out in 75, fantastic bit of silly.

Hmmm... we have several answering machines, a rotary phone, a typewriter, an adding machine. Also 3 sewing machines, one treadle and two regular (but OLD, no electronics or anything).

I directed shadow casts for a few years in the late 90s/early 2000s. Miss those days so much!

Answer to the question - I have an old overhead projector somewhere in the tool room.

Song chat - for DS's 10th birthday (a sleepover) we had a decades theme, and we played the Alvin & the Chipmunks version of the Time Warp every time we changed decades. It was terrific fun!

(In keeping with "time warp" we also set all the clocks in the house to different times. The kids thought they stayed up 'til 1:00, but really went to bed at 10:00. )

We have a projector that belonged to my late uncle's dad in the 50s. Found it while clearing out our main storage space. In our workroom in the basement there are still materials that were used to build the house, including a lot of tiles. Pink ones and larger pink ones with little poodle dogs on them. The upstairs bathroom used to be the 'girl's bathroom' because my late uncle's sisters bedrooms were up there and so it was done in a pink and black poodle theme. It's been ripped out and modernized since, but as a lover of all things mid-century I sort of wish it was still there.

i have to give the set-up to our oddball item: getting stuck clearing out mil's place (none of dh's sibs chose to help) we ended up schlepping a bunch of boxes from where she lived to our state b/c we were just tossing stuff into boxes/she had never unpacked many when she moved/she had boxes in a storage locker we didn't have time to go through...). after already spending 10 days going through useless junk, on about my second week of going through random boxes i came across a 1 foot tall christmas door decoration-a little wooden sled. i screamed to my husband 'oh my god, it's ROSEBUD!!!!'. it was the first good laugh we had in months. rosebud hangs on a wall in our garage as a reminder to us to not leave a bunch of junk and clutter for OUR kids to deal with (dh swears he never remembers it being displayed as a kid or adult in his mom's home-and it's not a new piece so she did'nt buy it after we moved).
