If you were the "Powers-that-Be" of the Disney resort of your choice, what would be 1 thing that you would change/add/subtract/tweek???

If I were the manager of the Poly, all arriving guests checking in would be greeted with not only Polynesian leis, but with Lapu-Lapus (non-alchoholic versions would also be available ;) )

1 more: If I ran CBR, I would make a walkway to Epcot! Its just SO DARN CLOSE!!:headache:

Enjoy-

Every room throughout Dis ey would have a minimum of 2 bathrooms and all would have queen beds (we are daydreaming....right?)

LaurenT- I notice you are from U NY, as am I!! In fact I am typing this from my office in Albany--I guess it goes to show you that we Upstate NYer's can certainly daydream about NOT BEING IN UPSTATE NY:lmao:

Ok- I'm really dreaming here. I would build another monorail connecting AKL to AK and HS. This way you can really take a monorail to almost everything and then just walk or take the boat between HS and EPCOT. Imagine how great that would be? :thumbsup2

And I would go a step farther and put a monorail all the way to MCO. The ME busses are nice, but give me a monorail ride all the way to my hotel.

i would love an asian inspired resort with asian restaurants, mulan coming to visit, cool music playing :lovestruc however for right now just gimme some nice rooms at wl, and make the monorail stop there too. make a walkway from ak to akl, also the cbr walkway to epcot.

this is fun!

I would build a path from the BC directly to the monorail outside of Epcot.

I love the idea of building a monorail all around the world including from airport!

I would incorporate even more theme rooms like the princess rooms & pirate rooms. I think it would be so fun for kids (and adults too) to really feel like they are staying in a castle fit for a princess or Ariel's grotto or Neverland...

I would also bring back River Country- loved that place!

Apparently all the stuff in River Country is still there. Was staying at WL a week ago, and had a discussion with one of the boat captains. That's what he said.

I'd love a monorail around all of WDW! That would be cool. At least a connector to WL :goodvibes So close.....

And any rude people in WDW would get vaporized on the spot :rotfl::rotfl:

Since we're dreaming, it would be nice to have room rates a tad more reasonable too! More in line with the "outside" world prices. For the same price I paid for BC last Aug, I could get a beachfront hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, Sheraton to be exact, or Hilton.

?...

.

I sure would be lonely at the park! ;)

Transportation. Somehow...some way....it's got to improve. I dread spending such a HUGE chunk of my vacation standing in bus lines, and it just keeps getting worse. :sad2:

LOL, I'm just east of Saratoga Springs! We can't really complain about upstate NY THIS winter!

I would make sure that Old Key West Resort had HAMMOCKS!!!!! Honestly, we love this resort but why in the world did they not put hammocks there like the Carribean Beach Resort?! There isn't much difference in the theme- laid back and relaxing!!

Ps.. Does can anyone tell me how to get rid of my OLD ticker and replace it with a new one??

My parents heard a story way back when I was a kid going to Disney in the 80s (of course it was from someone like a bus driver, a CM in training, etc....) that Disney was in fact going to build a monorail line that went to MCO and back, but I guess they never got the funding....or the story just wasn't true :rotfl:. However, since we are daydreaming, I would rekindle that thought because I too would think that would be really cool instead of heading over in a motorcoach.

Go up to and click on "User CP" (at the top of this page) and then click on "edit Signature" on the left hand side. Your signature will pop up and then underneath that will be a box where you originally put your ticker (looks like a box you would post something in). Just delete the old one and then hit "save post". The old one should disappear. Hope I explained it o.k...considering I am not in the least bit computer savvy therefore I don't know all the terms :goodvibes.

Thank You! It worked!! :)

My Dream would be that I could enjoy 7 days at Disney and NOT come home 7 pounds heavier!!!:lmao::lmao: Imagine the Zebra Domes I could eat in a week!!!

I would love it if there were other means of transportation from AKL/AKV to....anywhere. We often don't even consider this beautiful resort because you have to take a bus EVERYWHERE. Ugh! :headache:

I would also have a separate tub/shower and "water closet". It would be nice to be able to go the the bathroom and not have to wait until someone is done with their bath/shower. :thumbsup2

Oh, and of course, cheaper prices! :rolleyes1

You can get a good look at it on Google Earth (or maps, or whatever you prefer).

I know they don't use it because it's lake-water, but it would be nice to be able to refurbish and make it all pool-water. But, honestly, after all this time, it would probably just be easier to tear it down.

What I'd like to see is ALL resorts connected by walking/biking paths. I know we're talking marathon distances here, but it would be nice to be able to ride a bike from CBR to Downtown Disney, or from Wilderness Lodge to Contemporary.

I would like to see an Art Deco inspired resort-30's Hollywood adjacent to DHS. The "rooms" would the The same type as the FW trailers but glitzed up as movie star dressing rooms. This way there would be more options for larger groups and would appeal to those people who do not like the wilderness aspect of FW. They would have 2 bathrooms or at least have the commode separate from the bathing area.
Of course, I would love a monorail connecting all the parks and resort areas.
I may be wrong but I think that either the state or Orlando was looking into a monorail or other type of light rail from MCO to the parks.
