We will travel to Cape May over Labor Day weekend, labor day is the first Monday in September. That's for a memorial mass honoring our uncle who passed in May. It's a smallish family gathering, but with family members we have't seen in ages!

How about you? Did I read that you are contemplating a trip to California?

Not any more. DH has a trip coming up mid October and we always look at whether DS and I can tag along. The dates don't coincide with the school program.

That's too bad. Do you have a pet sitter for your cat when you travel?

We have a pet service. They come round twice a day, feed the cats, play with them, empty the mail, open/close curtains, water plants etc. It's about the same price as putting the two cats into a cattery.

Your family plans in Cape May sounds sombre but it would be nice to catch up with all of them.

That's a nice system. We have a neighbor come in for mail, feeding birds, things like that. Belle would need 4-5 visits, so not practical to use a pet sitter. When we do the transatlantic cruise, our younger son & family (with baby Walter) will keep Belle for the 3+ weeks.
