that the people who got booked without a pin with the 40% off rate shouldn't have. That this is a Disney glitch. What will happen when they figure it out? Has this happened before other than the "free room" glitch?

Has this happened to you? What did Disney do? Did they honor your rate or up to rack rate? When did you find out? Soon after booking/ at check-in?

Any thought's or experiences?

I gave her the room only code and said I would like to book 3 nights in September. Well she was all excited for me and helpful and then.......
SHE ASKED FOR THE PIN CODE attached to BSY?:scared1: :confused3

I told her that I did not have one, but my friend had told me to call and use the BSY and see if a pin code was attached to my name! There was not and she was very sorry, but could not give me the 40%off at this time.

She did search for other codes, but nothing applied at this time. She said only pin codes are out there right now and you have to have the #'s?

So I said that I would wait. We have plenty of time and I know they will have discounts for September eventually.

Atleast I tried. I did have a pin once before and got Savanah view at AKL for $164.:thumbsup2 So I know it happens.

Good luck to all the rest of you. I may try again later....

The CM was very helpful and tried every way she could to find me a discount.

Oh well:sad2:

Here is my story, I hope this helps...

For those that are worried about using the code without a PIN....

Back in the winter of 2005 right about the time Disney stopped issuing general public codes (which leading up to this they had issued just about every month), the same situation arose.

Many people had trips planned for the summer of 2005 & were hoping for those general public codes as Disney had issued in the months previous, i.e. stay for 4 play for 3 in the summer of 2004.

Then out of nowhere, Mary from Mousesavers posted that it looked like Disney was going to stop issuing these public codes & only send out codes with PIN #'s via email & snail mail as travel was UP & there was no need for them to issue the public codes anymore.

Many people here on the Dis were posting about receiving email/snail mail codes & PIN #'s.

Well needless to say, those of us who were not lucky enough to get the PIN#'s were frantic. Especially when reading ALL the posts of those lucky people who did receive the PIN#'s.

I for one was GLUED to these boards hoping & praying for a general code. Upon my reading of every thread associated with codes, I stumbled upon the actual 3 letter code (that was posted illegally & then removed as quickly as it was posted) that was asscioted with the PIN. I of course was not entitled to use this 3 letter code because I did not have the PIN associated with my name, but I thought what the heck I will try...

After several attepmts I was finally able to use this code without the PIN & reserved the CR for $189.00 per night!!!!!

I was very nervous this offer would be revoked due to not having the PIN, especially when I received a call from Disney a few weeks prior to my trip.

My heart stopped & I was waiting to hear them tell me what I did was wrong, when all of a sudden they were telling me I was receiving an uprade to the POLY due to construction at the CR for the same rate of $189.00 per night!!

Now that trip was a year & 1/2 ago & I am not saying that just because the offer wasn't revoked from me it won't be from you, however, I just thought I would put your mind at ease a little....

It isn't a glitch though. There really is a code out that is as real as it gets. Everyone that booked without a pin did so because no pin was needed. The Wonderful Weeks of Disney is a very real promotion that doesn't require a pin code. It must come down to peoples travel dates and availability as to whether or not they are getting the discount. I have inquired 6 times now about this promo and gotten the discount each time and made sure that there wasn't a pin needed. The Disney TA website even says that the WWOD offers great rates during those weeks.

I had pretty much the same thing happen to us in 2005, got WL for 124 a night !!!!!!!!!!!! (boy was that awesome, but now we're hooked on WL : ) People on dis assured us we'd lose it because it was a mistake (it was a code posted and removed here on the boards). We were able to use it no problem, and Disney honored the ressie.

has ANYONE been able to book it TODAY?

Perhaps the memos finally made it around CRO.

I JUST TRIED 30 MINUTES AGO AND THEY WOULD NOT LET ME???

I WILL TRY AGAIN TONIGHT!!!!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I WILL TRY USING THE WONDERFUL WEEKS OF DISNEY PROMO AND SEE IF THAT HELPS.
SEPT IS VALUE SEASON AND ALL MOD'S ARE AVAILABLE WHEN I CHECKED

I booked a room for 10 nites in December at the Sports at $49 just a few hours ago. No pin number required at all.

Since they just updated the system if they were not intending on honoring this rate I doubt that they would still be taking the reservations.

Since I have already received the email confirmation I am taking that as a contract.

The dates seem to be the off seasons when they need to fill up rooms so this might be a good deal for all concerned.

I hope everyone gets a deal that wants one. I am off to watch and look for my next one as I was not able to get nearly as good a deal on my April trip. One can always hope. :)

Does anyone think it might be possible the CM is checking one's name and address for the existence of a pin code? Are those that are booking without a code not asking the CM to check (for a pin code attached to the name), or are you being told no pin code is required?

I couldn't book without a pin, but I was asked for my info (zip, name, address, & to confirm my phone number) and eventually asked specifically if he was able to check for a pin code. He then told me that is what he was doing, and that the CMs have access to the pin code offers before they are even mailed out to us.

I am booked through a TA and she called and inquired for me. She was able to get it applied but told me to keep an eye out for any emails or postcards that may come. Maybe there is one for me that I either deleted or haven't received yet?

When I called earlier this AM the CM told me I had one but it expired in Jan. I remember getting a card last year but knew we would never be able to afford a second trip so soon. :sad1:

I spoke with them this morning and he never mentioned it as a pin or anything - just that it had to be in your dates of travel. I have a feeling this is a general code that is either not widespread yet or is being spread by word of mouth.

We just booked at the AKL. I didn't ask for a code just called to check the price difference from CBR...which we're booked. The CM told me they had a lot of codes and gave me a price of $3661 for 4 people, 8 nights, 8 day MYW park hopper/water parks and more, plus dining. I had her put the reservation on hold because I wanted to check with my DH. Anyway, when I called back to make the switch the CM told me that I wasn't eligible for the price because that was a discount sent to certain people at random. He then put me on hold and came back to tell me since I was quoted that price, that Disney was going to honor it and he booked the reservation. I guess it was our lucky day! The kids are going to be so excited. Now, off to make some ADR's for Boma!

I booked with the 40% but did not receive a code. When I called and made the reservations, I asked them if they could apply code "ABC." The CM said he would see. He also checked several other codes to see if it would work to my advantage. The code worked and he did not ask for a pin. After seeing all of this on the DisBoard about needing a pin, I became concerned that I had done something intentionally wrong. So I called Disney back and explained to them that when I booked, I asked for code "ABC," which was applied, but then saw online that this was possibly a pin only code. She checked and said I did not have a pin associated with my name, that she did not know how the code went through without a pin. However, she spoke with a supervisor and since they made the offer, it stands as it. It would not be revoked or the rate changed. I explained to her that I just wanted to be on the up and up and if I was not entitled to the code, I understood. They were very polite and stated that once the offer was made they would not do that to me. I was even able to add more days on!!!!! If the offer was not going to be valid, I wanted to go ahead and find out about it now. When I called and made the reservations with the 3 letter code, there was not speculation at that time about a pin # being needed, so the reservations were not done with ill intentions or trying to pull something over. Hope this helps others.

I forgot to add, we booked a package with dining.

I just called with the code and no pin.. she said it was room only promo.. and that I have a package.. a pin # was never mentioned...

She also said that you never know what may be coming down the pike, just keep checking.. that gave me a bit of hope... we are going in December.. so I do have along time to keep checking.. :goodvibes

I just basically went through the same exact thing. I was also confused as to why so many different things were being said by different CM's. I've been told, it's a pin only code and it's a pin only code during peak season and anyone can book during non peak season. We had one CM on Saturday that was going to book CSR for us at the discount...he's the one that told us it was a code that could be used by anyone, except during peak season...then you needed a pin. We didn't want CSR so we opted not to take it. That's when I decided today to check AKL and was offered the discount without giving the code, no questions asked. I was also concerned about them taking the discount back, but the CM assured me that since that was the price I was given, that would stand.

I Just called back and tried again with another CM.:cool1: This time it worked!!!

I gave her the code BSY and told her it was part of the Wonderful weeks of Disney Promo. I said that I do not have a pin#:confused3 She said no problem this will work for the room only discount!!!:dance3:

So I was able to book 3 nights in September at the Port Orleans FQ for a base of $87 a night!!!:thumbsup2

So glad that I was persistant!! It paid off in the end.

She also told me I could add up too 3 more rooms if I needed too. We have other family wanting to go too.

It doesn't hurt to try. Good luck everyone!

What is the BSY code? I'm going during one of the supposed "WWOD" in March. When I booked, I got some sort of discount, being that I saved $216 from the online quoted price, but I'm not sure of the discount I got. I was told there was a code out there for a room only discount at POP then, not sure if this is the same code. I'm not complaining about my savings, but as a poor graduate student, if there is more money to be saved, I'd LOVE it! :rotfl:

That's the "CODE" that everyone is talking about.

You're stayin 4 nights at Pop and you saved 200$ -- that's about 40%.

I'm staying 6 nights at Pop just a few days before you and saved $288 plus taxes ... off the normal rates..

Pretty great.

I was told I could use it without a pin- I booked a pkg with dining. I really hope mine is good as it stands. It saved me 40% off rack rate at AS Music, and I paid rack rate for dining and tickets for Sept.

I read your original post with the link to the other site where this possibly "magical" code is located. What I didn't say previously was that I booked 4 nights at POP (3/4-3/8) with 3day PH and MYW w/dining and saved $200 off the online quoted price. Not sure if this is such a big deal, and am not sure if I should attempt to try the package code that is listed on the "other" site. When I made my original ressie, I didn't have to ask for anything, I was just given the quote that was cheaper then the online quote.
