Let's answer some questions that have popped in your head while reading a thread...

It was explained to me that those threads often start out on other boards where thethread is off topic and they are eventually moved here. Of course putting that in the title is basically red-flagging the thread, bringing it to the attention of the mods, who are then more likely to move it!

Okay, so that never even occurred to me.

On that note. I always wonder why people create threads just to say they're not posting anymore.
If you're not posting anymore, then what are you doing posting?

They are looking for all the strokes they didn't get when they were still posting... "oh, please keep posting", "don't let people scare you away", "we'll really miss you"...

And then how many of them either keep posting or lurk (and of course we won't know if they are lurking). Or how many of them come back as someone else, which is sometimes obvious based on the writing style.

Wouldn't it make more sense to title a thread "New Crocs colors" or "Are pants with sparkles still in style?" than "FOR WOMEN ONLY" if you don't want guys to look at it???
