I wonder what evil, demented creature stands beside some people's computers, forcing them to open and read threads whose subject matter they don't like, disabling their unsubscribe buttons, making them come back again and again against their will, till the person finally posts a cry for help, begging for others to stop posting to the thread, so they don't have to read it anymore. Poor things.

I also wonder what a YAGE is. I think it's what I've seen elsewhere referred to as a "good-bye cruel board" post, but I can't figure out what the acronym stands for (and no, I wouldn't have used air quotes if I had spoken that aloud, but I might have changed my inflection.)

Oh, and I wonder just who will be the last one to post.

I don't recall if anyone has posted this yet, but I often wonder if people realize there are other sources for WDW info than the DIS. I mean, I know we are good around here, but the questions of, "I am checking in before DH, do you think they will let me.....?" Or, "what time does such and such open on March 19" CALL DISNEY OR LOOK ON THEIR WEBSITE!!

The other ones that baffle me are the medical ones. "I think I am having a heartattach, what do you think I should do?" I understand the ones about should you take your kid to the dr or not 'cause it is hard to know sometimes, but serious medical stuff does not belong on a message board.


And no, I don't use airquotes unless I am trying to be realy obnoxious.

When I read trip reports, I wonder many times what jobs you people have that you can go on a long vacation with a big family at a deluxe resort. And how come you haven't been arrested yet, because it can't be legal

I wonder how come that here on the boards, everyone is politically correct, would never ever do something wrong/ illegal, etc etc, yet there are so many rude, unpolite, ... people in the world (the real one and the Disney one) I wonder if there's something wrong with the DIS demography, or is there some assessment you have to go through before you're allowed on teh DIS? (I must have missed it though)

I too wonder many times why people don't just call Disney Dining to ask whether restaurant X has a table for 5 free on day Y. And how do we know whether you'll like it? Somebody must like it, since most of those restaurants are always full.

And I wonder on what threads/ boards you have to post in order to get tagged by the fairie...

Bavaria may be new on the community board, but we have a past, so it's like setting up an old friend. I'm of the mindset, "with friends like me, who needs enemies?". I had to say that before someone said it first!

The one that pops in my head most frequently lately is why can't these people have a conversation in PM rather than in the middle of a thread where its not the least bit relevant?

Are you talking on the community board or on others. There's not too much that's off topic here, at least not like on the other forums. And if a person takes something to PM and tells the person so they will make sure they see the PM (not everyone has the little notice pop us or thinks to check PMs), then they will be put on a "list" on another board, so it's a fine line to walk.

I'm always the last to post. It's a problem I have. I'll be posting from my grave if given a laptop and a power cord.

why someone will pull up a thread from 6 months earlier that asked for advice about a problem happening 6 MONTHS EARLIER-and post to it like the question was posted yesterday!

why one of the mods does'nt post one of the threads thats stays perm. at the top of the page with a "dis to english" dictionary (i mean, some of the terms expressed with just a few letters are pretty commonly known, but there are some others that are "pure dis speak")?

why did my dh post that awful alpacca picture from earlier in the thread as our new wallpaper -ick!

I wonder if the search function doesn't work for some posters.

On another noter: I wonder why after spending a weekend car shopping, the first question directed to me by too many salespeople to count was "what color do you like". Does the color make a difference in the performance of the car? Am I suppose to care about the color? Also, why do I have to be stuck between two cars seats in the backseat of a vechile during the test drive while the salesperson is chatting it up with my DH in the front seat in complete comfort without worrying if his rear is going to be stuck in a oddly shaped box formation and if that sticky residue from my boys hands will ever wash out of his hair or if his new rooster do is going to be his new fashion statement.

I wonder about the people who are so concerned about people they don't even know and haven't even heard about until today.

For example, someone will post about their neighbor's brother who has been missing for two days, has two kids who haven't eaten, and his dog is running loose. "Please pray that my neighbor's brother will return safely".

Then, other concerned posters will endlessly post and say "Oh my goodness, I'm so concerned...Please keep us updated as to the status of your neighbors brother who is missing, his two kids, and his dog".

Then, the poster will continually update, and people will respond, "I'm so glad to hear-I've been so concerned all day, I haven't been able to work".

Really, really? These people must be better than me, because I really don't give much thought to a poster's neighbor's brother who has been missing. They are strangers to me, and I realize there are many missing, emotionally challenged people out there and I wonder why the poster has to bother us with the details in the first place.

Got that off my chest.
