Let's Adventure Together video

So I have to admit, I haven't clicked on the "watch video" link on the ABD site for a while. It's been the same old same old video for so long. But for some reason, I clicked on it today. Am I the only one who didn't realize they had a great new "Let's Adventure Together" video? I really like it. (And it was fun seeing Mike and Chris from my Southwest Splendors ABD again!)

Anyway, as I was watching the video, I noticed, very briefly, a shot from *Israel*! They showed some Adventures and a religious man praying at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem. That really makes me wonder. Given the photo "survey" they posted on Facebook a while back ("Where are you dreaming of traveling in 2014?") which included a photo of Israel, is Israel going to be a new destination? That could be really cool!

It's the video that comes up labeled "Welcome Video". It's the video link on the slideshow page with Greece on it that says "Let's Adventure Together" and has a button to order a brochure and another one to watch the video.

About a third of the way in on the video (around 1:38) they show Adventure Guide Mike talking, then some archery, then they flash through 2 other Adventure Guides talking. Then, at 1:42, they show a Junior Adventurer placing a piece of paper in the Wall, and then show the family and a religious man praying at the wall.

My husband just watched the video and noticed a family floating in the Dead Sea. (He lived in a kibbutz for a few months many years ago.)

I find this interesting because I spoke to an ABD exec 2.5 years ago about the possibility of adding Israel to their roster. He said they were worried about the volatility of the region. I think the Egypt tours were already in flux by then. (The guy and then-ABD chief Josh D'Amato [sp] visited with our DIS Backstage Magic tour. )

Well, the link isn't really all that prominent. I watched two other videos today before I found the one you were referring to. It's a little odd that they included that snippet of video. Makes me wonder if there might have been plans for an Israel itinerary and they decided to go with Norway instead because of the Frozen connection. Maybe next year!

That sounds like a real possibility. It's not like they sort of accidentally took pictures in Jerusalem! Maybe next year!

We saw that video on the DVC member cruise in January of 2013. The ABD staff onboard said that it was new at that time. The guy in the red shirt riding the camel at 2:25 is the vice president of ABD, who we met on the cruise. I love that song they use in that video, and I had to start hunting for it. It took a while but I eventually found it on iTunes... It is Katie Herzig's "Best Day of Your Life" from her "The Waking Sleep" album.

There is also a scene 10 sec in of a group of 4x4's driving through the desert - I believe this is the Wadi Rum in Jordan. Also the same family walking in a passageway through rock at 35 sec towards Petra it looks like, also in Jordan.
