Let the (Soaken Wet) Memories Begin TR- Update 12/8

Kristen, since you haven't read the rest of my TRs, let me assure you...things like this happen to me frequently. In Ireland, last October, an ATM ate our card and we couldn't get it back for the whole trip, on Aisling's first trip I dropped all my credit cards and ID and realized it when I went to check in at the airport, and that's just 2 examples LOL!

OH my!!!!!!!!!!! You have bad wallet luck! And Randy hasn't caught on and just taken over?!! I hope this is it for wallet issues this trip, for your blood pressure sake and for the record, I'm good for those what the heck did I do with that moments, too! Although, I just call them my blonde moments! ;)

And that, my dear LL, was just Day 1. But yes, I should never ever ever carry money on vacation. It does not work out well for me (well it always turns out okay in the end but not before i send my blood pressure skyrocketing!)

I can't even imagine because just reading that made my blood pressure sky rocket! My goodness. Maybe we should look into some body strap wallets for you that way it will never leave you!

Oh my goodness! So sorry about the stress first thing....but I am so glad it had a happy ending!! Love the trip report so far! This is so exciting to hear all about your adventures and see great pics too! Have a great weekend! :thumbsup2

I remember you searching frantically for the bell services tag but I do not remember you sitting your wallet on the couch or I would have caught it! I specifically waited for you to find the luggage tag before we left just in case you needed something. I'm so sorry that happened to you! Seriously, Randy needs to start carrying a man purse to carry all your stuff so this doesn't happen again! :rotfl:

Here is the group pic from Beaches 'n Cream that was taken by my favorite CM there, Melanie, who remembered us from a previous trip!! :flower3:

Ironically we had so much cash on us because of the Ireland incident. We charged everything to the room anyway (and paid off the room charge with gift cards and our Disney Visa points) but Randy insisted on having a lot of cash of us "just in case" :rolleyes1

I have decided that since my husband takes zero role in the planning, packing, etc that my brain is so crazed while I'm there trying to remember everything that needs to get done, where we are supposed to be, etc that I make simple mistakes. And a bit of foreshadowing...this was only mistake number 1 :headache:

You too Cathy!!!

Thanks for posting the pic Jen! And seriously HOW did you miss a Vera wallet sitting on that chair??? Apparently I really just need someone to follow me around a clean up after me (like an elephant at the circus)

BTW, we saw Melanie again! And she remembered that WE were with YOU guys. She is good!

I'm here! You're sure off to an exciting start! Glad you recovered your wallet! I agree about BCV needing to be spruced up more like the BC. They're still nice, but not as fresh. I hope it doesn't rain the WHOLE trip! At least you got in a nice meal at Beaches 'n Cream to start the trip! Looking forward to hearing more about this trip!

Livy's first day was great! She loved every minute of it and was sad when it was time to go! She told me that she had to "be bossy to one of the other kids because he had a bad attitude, wasn't listening to the teacher and didn't know ANYTHING"! It was pretty funny! Thanks for asking!

Nice update! I have to say that I am right there with you when it comes to unpacking and organizing the room! it just seems so much easier and nicer not having to live out of suitcases. I was also right there with you on the ironing! I had a problem though...our ironing board got stuck open and I couldn't get the stupid thing closed! The little tab/bar that you push in to close it wouldn't push! I was ready to throw the whole thing off the balcony!

Can't wait for another update!!!

*PS- Where did you find all your awesome readers? I think I lost most of mine! The ones I do have certainly aren't as chatty and fun as yours!

Now if we can get you healthy so we can get a group pic of me, you, and Jen :thumbsup2

That would be fantastic. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am that for the last three nights I have slept without my boot on! I feel so free. :lmao:

Well it didn't rain every day but the odds were not good...I'll put the grand total at the end of the report. ;) Thanks for coming over and joining!

OMG! We had the same issue with our ironing board!!! So weird! Randy finally had to pratically break it to get it to move.

I do have awesome readers. I've been on DIS for a LOOOOONG time and I've met a lot of these folks IRL so that helps too I guess

That would be fantastic. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am that for the last three nights I have slept without my boot on! I feel so free. :lmao:

yay!!! Get better so we can go do something fun!

515 views and we are only on page 3??? if you are reading along, make sure to say Hi!!!

Too bad Beach Club Villas need an update! Hopefully they will plan one soon. It still looks great to me though!

OMG! What drama for the day! So glad you found it! What you need is a wife! :lmao::rotfl:

Hope you have a great weekend in Maine!

Here are the regular rooms at BC

As you can see, it's nicer...furniture is sleeker, flat screen on wall, just more modern.

I do need a wife :thumbsup2 Or a spouse he takes on SOME responsibility on vacation :rotfl2:

Hi. I'm in!

:welcome:

How about another update???

Well as I mentioned, I was finally on my way to SAB. I took some pics along the way

The iconic Ariel

The Solarium where I imagined myself with a cup of tea and my Kindle...guess how many times that happened in a week and a half??? :rotfl2:

The Lobby

Cape May

And finally I found my way out to the much hyped SAB. And are you ready for it????? I immediately hated it. No joke. Hated it. See I was still frustrated from the whole wallet thing and Randy not checking on me and when I got to SAB, I couldn't find my family or our stuff at ALL. Every single chair was taken (mostly by towels so the people were probably long gone). I wandered around for over a half hour before I found them. I went up to the very highest point and found them on the slide. Turns out Randy couldn't find a seat on the BC side so our stuff was on the YC side. Am I the only person who found this pool area to be extremely hard to navigate? When you are annoyed, that place is a giant maze of going up and down stairs constantly. Thus the hatred. (it was much later in our trip before I was able to enjoy SAB at all)

Anyway, i did find my family...see them?

I met them on the bottom of the slide

Finally I was able to put my stuff down and hop in the pool. Talissa's (DisneyTiger) TR prepared me for the consistency of the "sand" bottom. It really was pretty neat that it didn't stick to you at all. I stood there playing with it for awhile marveling at it :rotfl:

We had some fun down at the pool but then the rain started and we figured it was time to go upstairs and relax before our dinner ADR

First of all, I LOVE the pics of you and Ash! The two of you look so cute together!

Sorry you had a not so great first time to SAB. It sure sounds like that was definitely due to wallet incident. At least Aisling had fun! Cant wait to hear about dinner!

See....SAB doesn't do much for me....not that I have ever been BUT I don't like sand so the idea of all that sand really turns me off. Ick. I do enjoy the idea of a lazy river though.

I love Aisling's bathing suit, it is so pretty and colorful and the picture of you two at the end is gorgeous! That should be framed. :thumbsup2
