Let the Memories Begin--A Mother/Son Adventure of a Lifetime!-update 8/6-17 the end!

I just made a reservation for Teppan Edo on Friday night - 7:50 - so maybe we can catch up with y'all before or after?!

So am I, I also need to get back to WDW again at some point too.

Most definitely!

I just made a reservation for Teppan Edo on Friday night - 7:50 - so maybe we can catch up with y'all before or after?!

:yay:Yay, that would work out great!!! I will text you when we get there to let you know what would work. Before might be best if Tom hasn't got much sleep that day. He will probably want an early night to bed since we are doing 7 am EMH the next day.

Can't wait to see you again!

Wow, we are at 17 days!!! --17 days!!! I am giddy with excitement. Actually we leave in the afternoon in 16 days!!! I had some major pixie dust luck come my way today. We were supposed to leave on Thursday, April 5 right after my board meeting at work. Well, the other manager who comes to the board meetings with my boss and I is heading to Florida that day as well to see his grandson. We got together and suggested to our boss that they move the meeting to an afternoon after a retirement party we were having at the coop on March 30th and the board agreed!!!! :cheer2: So, I have that Thursday off and instead of leaving at 9 or 10 at night, we can leave as soon as Jeremy gets home from school!!!! I can hardly wait. I took the day off to get everything ready so for me, vacation will start in 16 days!!!!

Well, I had better keep chugging on if I am going to finish this report on time.

So, after a fun-filled day at Epcot and some afternoon swimming, Jeremy and I headed to DTD.

I had a place in mind that I wanted to eat at. I have seen it on many trips and was ready to stand in line to give Earl of Sandwich a try. :cloud9: Okay, there are no pictures. The line was long and Jeremy and I were very hungry when we finally got our food to eat. A nice couple saw just Jeremy and I and motioned for us so we could have their table when they got up. It was so nice! The first bite was pure food heaven. My oh my, what had we been missing all these years!!! I got a turkey sandwich that had bacon on it and Jeremy got the one with ham. I can't remember what they were called. We used the dining plan so I think Jeremy got dessert and I got jello. Geez, even the jello was heavenly there. There was no way we could eat all that so the leftovers made a nice breakfast the next morning. So, I know some of you probably thought my dinner was at some fancy sit down restaurant but Earl was definitely the winner for the best meal we had!!! I can't wait for Tom to give it a try.

Afterwards, we explored World of Disney. I say explore as that shop is one adventure in and of itself. It was soooo busy that night. I know why I like having the car and hitting DTD early in the morning. Jeremy found the new Hollywood Studios Hat playset and had to buy it with his money papaw gave him. I indulged even though I thought it would have been a great Christmas present from Tom and I and would ship it home. It was a lot of fun packing that thing for the plane ride home. :confused3

So, after some shopping, we decided to call it a night and head back to the Boardwalk.

Up next, Sunday, November 20th

Jeremy and I were once again up early. It was another beautiful morning.

Can you see Donald in the fireplace? Too cute.

100_0735.jpg

Chip and Dale was even having some fun.

100_0737.jpg

We were the first ones at the boat dock for Hollywood Studios.

We were on the first boat that headed to HS that day. If you are at the Boardwalk, to get to HS, you got to the BC, Swan and Dolphin and then HS.

I like the tree at DHS. I think the roll of film at the bottom is just too cute!

I am out of time plus photobucket just froze up on me again!

Up Next:

Oh my, I really do miss Tom right now!
Will I ever get those Toy Store fastpasses?
Wow, there is actually a counter service restaurant I like at DHS!

:yay:Yay, that would work out great!!! I will text you when we get there to let you know what would work. Before might be best if Tom hasn't got much sleep that day. He will probably want an early night to bed since we are doing 7 am EMH the next day.

Sounds like a plan - really looking forward to seeing you too!

Love love the gingerbread pictures. Nice morning! I admit, with that boat rotation, I'd walk to DHS from the Boardwalk.

Loved the update...especially all the Christmas pics! Makes me want to go in person! I keep saying someday! Glad you liked EoS...thats somewhere that Ive been wanting to try too! WoD is my fav DTD store..love it...it is an adventure on its own! :)
The Boardwalk looks great!

More great pictures!

That tree that Jeremy is standing beside at DTD is really cute. Glad you got to try EOS and that you enjoyed it.

Beautiful view from you room - I'm sure I told you that. I really can't wait to stay there. :goodvibes

Yeah for HS!

Yeah for 16 days!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

Hello, found your TR by way of DisMomAmy. Loving it so far, love a mother/son trip. He looks like he is having a great time.

You took some great pictures of the trip so far. Sorry you had a rocky start with being sick and all but it seems like after that things have been smooth sailing.

Excited for your upcoming trip too. Congrats on getting the room changes you wanted.

Can't wait to read whats next.

So glad you like EoS. I just need to make it over there more often.

I finally realized that DHS is such a short walk from BW especially the villas.

You got some great shots of Jeremy.

Great update, Erika! :thumbsup2

We LOVE Earl of Sandwich! I am sooooo disappointed that we didn't eat there in September. We've discussed it though & we will definitely be eating there next trip! We really, really missed it!!! :sad2:

I always get the Hawaiian BBQ sandwich. It is sooooo delicious!!!

We've always had good luck there with seating too -- there's always someone leaving right when we need to sit down!

World of Disney and Once Upon a Toy are my favorite two stores to browse through at DTD! I like the different "rooms" in each store & how you can pretty much find anything there! I can't believe we skipped WoD in September -- it seems like I missed out on a lot of my favorites! :confused3

I am really loving the pics of all the Christmas decor! I can't wait to see all the Christmas trees in person! You're right -- that movie reel at the bottom of the DHS tree is really neat!!!

I understand what you mean about PhotoBucket. My photo website isn't giving me trouble, but my laptop is. Of course I have my updates typed up on my laptop & DIS only works well on the desktop. And of course I don't have Word on the desktop! Can't make it easy!? Sometimes I hate technology!

That's great that you enjoyed EoS. We have eaten there before & it was very good. My favorite is WPE so we always seem to eat there now. We need to go to EoS again.

I agree the tree at DHS is cute with the film at the bottom.:thumbsup2

Love love the gingerbread pictures. Nice morning! I admit, with that boat rotation, I'd walk to DHS from the Boardwalk.

I would have preferred the walk but Jeremy was all about riding the boat. I suspect that I might try the walk this trip and let Tom and Jeremy ride the boat. It would be interesting to see who gets there quicker!

That gingerbread house made the lobby smell delicious! You could smell gingerbread every time you walked in it.

The Boardwalk looks great!

You have to try EoS. It was delicious and will be a must every trip from now on. There was a long line at night but it moved really quickly.

You have to try Disney at Christmas! It is truly magical. Everyone must do it at least once in their life.

More great pictures!

Yeah for 16 days!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

I loved staying at the Boardwalk. It is a very pretty hotel with a unqiue feel to it. It was also nice being so close to Epcot.

We leave in 2 weeks!

:welcome: Glad you are here! It was a lot of fun going with just Jeremy and I. We still talk about it today. I know it will be something I will cherish forever.

Everything was smooth sailing after the first day!

I am looking forward to the split stay at the BW and AKL. As much as I loved the BW and being close to Epcot, I truly enjoy AKL and relaxing watching the animals.

Hope to have another update today or tomorrow at the latest!

So glad you like EoS. I just need to make it over there more often.

Thanks, I don't think my picture taking is that great but it turned out better this trip. I did buy a new Canon camera a few weekends ago so I am anxious to give it a try in 2 weeks! :yay:

We will be eating EoS this trip so Tom can tryi it. Pure yumminess!

Great update, Erika! :thumbsup2

Totally understand about technology! It drives me crazy more often than not!

You will love Disney at Christmas. It is sooooo beautiful. I just love the parks and the hotels. It really gets you in the mood for the holidays.

Oooh, an Hawaiian BBQ sandwich. That sounds good. Might have to give that one a try.

Glad you enjoyed eating with Earl. He can make a pretty awesome sandwich, for sure. ::yes::

There is a certain 'feel' in the freshness and excitement of the first park of the day. :cool2:

I have you to thank for the EoS. I have read on your trips for years how you and Jill loved it. I don't know that I would have ever tried had it not been for your rave reviews. :thumbsup2

I  being first in the parks! It feels like you almost have the place to yourselves. I am sure we will be doing that a lot with the predicted crowds.

That's great that you enjoyed EoS. We have eaten there before & it was very good. My favorite is WPE so we always seem to eat there now. We need to go to EoS again.

We have never eaten at WPE. May have to try that this time around.

I like all the trees at the parks, however we have never seen the one at MK. I love how they are designed like their parks.

Good CS at DHS? :confused3 Don't leave me hanging too long! :goodvibes

Oh & we saw them working on one of those Stitch's (from the Christmas decorations) at the BW Bakery when we were there. I thought it was cool but had no idea that it was for the holiday display in the BW lobby.

Wow, how cool that you got to see it actually at the Bakery. Neat.

Update coming soon with lunch in it!

Let's keep this trip rolling because in 14 days I will be back at WDW!!!!

After an uneventful relaxing boat ride from the BW, we had arrived at DHS.

100_0743.jpg

They were letting people in the park up to the opening show line. Jeremy and I took our time and looked at the window displays.

100_0747.jpg

We watched part of the opening show and then started on our way in what I like to call the Toy Story Dash. It was at this point that I started missing Tom. He is usually our FP runner. The crowd of people going to get FP was unbelievable and the line was out near Voyage of the Little Mermaid just to get a FP. I told Jeremy there was no way I was standing in this madness and we would come back later.

(Alright, I give up! What is it with photobucket and me. It just froze up again. Be back in a few with the rest of the update!)

Sorry photobucket isn't cooperating

I love the pictures you have posted so far. What great decorations they have in DHS and I love Jeremy's shirt
