Just curious what's the youngest age you might have booked a trip with DVC for your kids to let them go on their own? I know that they would have to be of adult age but we can not always get to use all of our points so if they could use them that would be fine with us.

My son went with his girlfriend last year as well as this year. He was 24 last year.

My daughter is 18 and if she wants to go next year with two other girls (graduation - almost 19), I would let her go. She has been there many times. I feel comfortable and know she is responsible too.

It will depend on Disney policy and I think the age is 18 to check in without an adult but it may be 21. Hopefully someone who has done it will comment here.

Both of our kids now 20 and 23 went to Disney with friends as their high school graduation gift...they were both 17 at the time but had friends with them that were 18..so they were able to check into the resort......they had been to disney many times and knew how to get around on their own

Thanks for the quick answers our son is 19 and he has not asked yet I am sure it is not far off, he has been to Disney alot so he knows his way around but he might want to try to use it for a RCI stay would it still be 18 to check in?

At Disney there must be an 18 year old registered.

I don't know about the RCI trades, if different places might require guests to be 21. But most hotels consider 18 to be adult age.

The age of checking in is 18 I believe. That would make for a nice trip:thumbsup2

I bought enough points to let all three families now go seperately.
The earliest age was 27 up until then my two sons and my daughter felt it was better to have dad pay for everything

:rolleyes1
