Hi Dis people. I have been lurking for sometime now and my New Years Resolution is to finally come forward. I am a 56 year old who wishes to go back to Disney someday but resigned myself to the fact I can't so must live thru all of you. If that is ok. I went to Disneyland at the fun age of 12 and was hooked. But thru all my growing up never could return until 2000 when my wonderful hubby and I took all 3 grandchildren and daughter. As it turned out 3 months later I returned with 3 good friends for a girls fun trip and from then on I can only dream of going back. I read this board daily to get my fix and laugh and live thru you. And really enjoy Dan's pictures. Thank you Dan. I look forward to alot of you posting and although I hate to admit it some of you are my favorites to look for. So if there is room can one more join, I promise to be good. Although i'm sorry to say if this board doesn't have spell check I'm in trouble.

Wow I don't know how to Thank You all for the warm welcome. But just lurking for so long I knew it would be this way. Dan that is beautiful I saved that reply to help me dream. For those that wonder.. I'm in Minocqua, after 34 years in Wis. Rapids in the same house we sold and moved where we could fish. Ice fishing isn't our thing but boy when the ice leaves the ole boat comes out. I have a son and daughter and 3 grandchildren. All of them live in Wisconsin. Been married 37 years and would marry the same guy all over again.

Here Hugs to all and watch out that might not be a plane in the sky.. If wishes come true it's a "FLYING PIG"

So you live in Minocqua, lol. When people say they go on vacation in Wisconsin, it is usually Wisconsin Dells or Minocqua. I've never been there, but I have skirted around the area. We travel to Marquette MI a lot, but we travel along the Bay of Green Bay, shortest way up. My dd has been there though, she has a friend whose parents own a cottage.

Welcome aboard................I've only been to Disneyland once and that was in Sept '02. It was the holdiay of a lifetime and we constantly dream of going back. We loved it and wish it were possible for us to return. So, I understand where you are coming from when you say you can but dream of returning these days.
