Let me introduce myself! October 2009 TR! Update 4/29-Beverly Pic!

I have been a "lurker" on these boards since 2008! : I guess I was always too shy to actually speak to anyone. I read quite a few TR's and enjoyed every minute of them. Finding people with the same love for Disney is awesome! I followed a few people over to another Disney lovers site and was hooked! I have met so many online friends (we are a bunch of Ip Dips) and I cherish every one of them. The boards will be closing for a smaller site so I plan to keep up over there but I also felt the need to formally introduce myslef here. I already follow a few here and have joined in on their TR"s (Jordan, Winkers, Memom and a few others.) AND I am glad to say that I have actually had one Dis meet-this past October I got to meet Memom, Jill and the girls! Looking forward to lots of years of sharing Disney love with all of yall and maybe even more Dis meets! Thought I would share my TR from the October trip! Hope I don't bore you too much-I am no Jordan thats for sure!

Let me start by giving a little disclaimer: My quantity and quality of pics is not the greatest. I need a better camera and I just wasn't feeling it this trip. That will all be explained in the TR!!

Let me start off with the cast for this trip.

Me-Lisa: HUGE Mickey fan
DD-Morgan: 16 year old female (with attitude-need I say more!)
MIL-Ann: Loves her kids and grandkids and was excited for this trip. That is until the other MIL was invited without asking how she felt about it!
We were in one room (and car) for the entire trip. The other car and room contained the following:
SIL & BF-Crystal: She is my best friend and my hubbys lil sis-I came into the family when she was 12 and we have always been close. The best way to explain her is a full up REDNECK GIRL! More info on that later!
BIL-Shane: Crystals husband-diabetic. That was the only thing that came into play with him on the trip. Other than that-he was great!
My SIL's MIL-Shelia: She is my BIL's step-mom and is someone that I can best describe as someone that would complain if they were hung with a new rope! Never thought I would hear anything positive from her! Stay tuned to see if I ever did!!
DN-Kenzie: My neice who turned 7 right before the trip. Crystal and Shanes daughter-acts just like her mom! No more explanatin needed!
I'll start off with our departure day in the next update. I wanted to start by showing a pic from the middle of the trip. It made me think of Leesa when it happened!

I broke out with a rash on both insides of my ankles again this trip! It happened on my April trip in 2006 but not in Dec 2007. Have no clue what it is or why I get it! My hubby says its because I am allergic to WDW and need to stay away! JERK!

Todays the day I have been waiting for!!!! The girls had a half day of school so us adults took advantage of that time to finish packing and load the cars!! That way when the girls got home we could hit the road! The girls were home by 12:30 pm but no sign of the "other" MIL! She ended up working a half day! What a great way to start off the trip! My MIL got so aggravated having to wait on her! We tried to leave but my SIL wouldn't let us! Finally she arrived around 2 pm and they just stood at the back of her Explorer trying to figure out how to load it! : It doesn't take a rocket scientist people! Finally I had enough and told them it wasn't going to jump up and pack itself and to get out the way! Ok-now we are packed and ready. We finally pulled out at 2:30 pm. Disney here we come!
Not even an HOUR into the drive my MIL needs a bathroom!! Already?? Should have made her wear a Depend or something cause I think we stopped at every rest area!!! We stopped at a Steak and Shake for dinner! I love this place! We have none here so I always try to eat at one when on vacation! Well, after eating we were then on "poo" lookout for my BIL!! Guess he needed a Depend too! Finally we pulled into the Country Inn and Suites at 8:30 pm. Thank goodness we were only 8 miles from Disney! Everybody got cleaned up and hit the beds! I was wanting to get a early start in the morning!

Please don't pay attention to the date on the pics! I didn't notice the date was wrong until the middle of the trip!!

We got up early, ate the free breakfast at the hotel and were on the road by 8:30!! But, they wanted to hit Kmart first (we have those at home-whats the big deal?) Guess I shouldn't complaint though-I picked up a few gifts for co-workers in there! (Cheaper than Disneys prices!)

We arrived at CBR and there was no line for the on-line check in line! Our rooms weren't ready yet but they will text us when ready! Cool! We got rooms side by side but no connecting door! We knew we were going to be in building 36 so we parked the cars near the building and headed to catch a bus. Hopped on the first bus that came (EPCOT) so we could switch busses at a park and then head to POR. I wanted to take everybody to DTD by boat-I love the boat ride from Port Orleans to DTD. When we got to POR we looked around in the shop, foodcourt and of course-checked out the restrooms! While waiting for the boat I got a text-rooms were ready! First we did some shopping.

Then we headed to our ressie at T-Rex!!!

We were seated as soon as we checked in-we were seated in the Ice room!!

I loved this place! While we were waiting to order I got another text! This time it was from a celebrity! A DIS celebrity that is-Memom! Her, Jill and the girls were in the T-Rex gift shop waiting for me! I walked over and met them and talked for awhile! They are just as sweet in person and Brooklynn and Bella are adorable! Goofy me forgot to get a pic but Memom did get one of Morgan, myself, Jill and the girls. If you want to see you will have to catch it in Memoms TR for their October trip that should be starting shortly! They were heading home today and said the weather had been beautiful!

We were having dinner at 'Ohanas so we all decided to get appetizers. Morgan and I shared the queso dip and chicken quesidillias. They were both very good.

We did a little more shopping then decided to head to the resort to check out the rooms and rest some before dinner. When we were getting closer I noticed our room #'s and realized one of us had a corner room!

It was me!!

After a short rest we headed to catch a bus to the MK so we could ride the monorail to the Poly.

This next sentence will probably shock most of you! I didn't like it it was way too strong for me! I gave it to my sis-in-law.

It was too strong for her also! But, my MIL made up for it!

She drank hers and mine! She couldn't get enough!
Sorry for the lack of food porn but I have none! I just couldn't seem to remember to get pics of the food! I loved the food at 'Ohanas and will gladly go back again!! Kenzie danced with her daddy while we were there.

We got a table right in front of the window so we were able to watch Wishes during dessert. It was awesome. Kenzie asked me once if Cinderella was watching the fireworks out the window of the castle! It was a great start to the trip! But would it last?

My first reader! Thanks! Memom and Jill always have great reports and pictures! Helps when you can't be there anytime soon! October is a great time to go! The crowds weren't bad and the weather was nice-it did get a little hot on some days.

We started off the day heading to EPCOT!

Right after entering the park we ran into Stitch

Next was Daisy

Then we made it to a first for all of us!

Kenzies first encounter with Mickey!

Mickey was waving to Yoda on Morgans back!

Nobody took a picture of me with Mickey!!!!! Guess I have to wait til I get my photopass cd!

We then stopped off at Sunshine Seasons for a snack.

I went and got fastpasses for Soaring then we all rode Living with the Land.

We then watched the Circle of Life movie! I love Timon and Pumba!! This was another first for me also.
It was then time to use our fastpasses for Soaring-well-that is after bathroom breaks!! Everybody loved Soaring! Kenzie wanted to ride it again!! We then rode Journey into Imagination with Figment-another first.

It was okay-not as good as I was expecting though. Next was Test Track. Everbody loved this ride also. When we came outside on the fast part is was drizzling a little-felt good!! By the time we made it off the ride the drizzle had stopped. It was getting close to our ressie time at Coral Reef so I suggested we start heading that way. But first a stop at Club Cool!! I'm sure you see where this is going! I lined all of them up-except Shane-he said he couldn't drink anything because of his diabetes. Morgan and I filled the cups with the Beverly and made them all try it at the same time! I told them they were being initiated (sp?) into the Disney club!!

OMG!! It was so funny! You can barely see my MIL in the pic but she is between Shelia and Crystals heads-spitting out the drink in the trash! One of the CM's saw what I was doing to them and just stood there and smiled! Bet that is a fun place to work!! I think this is one of my favorite pics of the trip!

Then it was time for lunch at the Coral Reef.

I tried the Mahi Mahi-very good!! Chocolate Wave for dessert-yummy! Got to hear how weird it is that they don't have salt and pepper on the table (at every restaurant I heard this!!) Crystal wasn't impressed with her food-ya can't please em all!!!
We then rode a clam mobile at Nemo and friends. Then turtletalk with Crush. He talked to Kenzie and she was so excited. He also talked to her Daddy and he wasn't as excited! I enjoyed it. Decided it was getting late so he headed to the front of the park to ride another first-Spaceship earth. I really thought it was neat how they take the pictures and show you your "future"

We headed to the room to rest a little and so the girls could get ready for MNSSHP!! I was so excited for this-heard a lot of good things!

I tried to get a pic of the big pumpkin Mickey!

We took a few photopass pics in front of the castle then headed to Tommorrow land. Went into Stitch-nobody cared for it! Then a lot of laughs at Monsters Inc. I was hoping Shane would be "that guy" but none of us got picked. It was still awesome though! Then hunger hit Shane. So, we stopped off at Cosmic Rays and grabbed a bite. This is when Morgan had a great idea-we slipt up! Her and I went down Alice's trail then headed to the Haunted Mansion. I am not usually scared of this but tonight was a little different. First, terrible planning on my part cause the fireworks started just as we were walking in the mansion!! So sadly, I never saw them. There was only a young couple in the mansion with us-the CM was so into her part!! She circled the 4 of us the whole time in the stretching room-creepy!! Then the lights go out, she screams, the lights come back on and she is nose to nose with Morgan! I thought Morgan had wet her pants!! She followed right on Morgans heels the whole time we walked to our doom buggy! Morgan was freaked out! We had a couple of photopass pics made in front of the mansion but they are not on my card! I don't have a clue what happened to them. We then went and got seats in front of the Country Bear Jamboree for the parade. The group met back up with us at this point. I tried to get some parade pics but I need a better camera!!

I loved the parade. Kenzie was afraid of just about everything in the parade! She hid almost the whole time! After the parade we rode Splashmountain and Big Thunder Mountain. Kenzie loved both of these also! The group was ready to go so Morgan and I stayed behind and rode POTC. By then it was park closing so we headed back to the room for bed.
